Description:This position is for the Offutt Mission Assurance Center (OMAC) PSME under the NISSC II contract and located at Offutt AFB.
The OMAC SME is the resident system technical expert with extensive ITW/AA system background and troubleshooting experience. Maintains current global ITW/AA situational awareness. Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of OMAC local policy, process, and procedures. Responsible for advising OMAC and NISSC II leadership on technical issues, integrating technology, systems, and mission knowledge as needed. Troubleshoots system problems that the crews have been unable to resolve. Fills in for crew positions as required, to include operating and administering the ITW/AA system in support of the Missile Warning mission. Directly involved with contract leadership, customers, and users in the planning, coordination, installation/execution, and support of OMAC ITW/AA system software upgrades, SCR implementation, testing, and exercises. Participates in technical and programmatic meetings as required.
Job requires occasional shift work and extended shift hours to meet customer requirements. Must be willing to carry an on-call pager based upon a rotating schedule with other OMAC SMEs. Performs in support of the OMAC Lead as required.

Work to be performed at Offutt Air Force Base (AFB).
Basic Qualifications:
Secret clearance required, Top Secret preferred.

Candidate must have the ability to provide technical mentoring to the Offutt Mission Assurance Center (OMAC) by providing real time situational analysis, technical assessment, and issue resolution in support of 24X7 mission operations. Must be willing to support OMAC crew activities, technical milestones/events, develop/administer reoccurring qualification training, and provide (or coordinate) short notice shift coverage. Must be able to effectively communicate, facilitate, and execute operations focused tasks on behalf of the program. Must understand the ITW/AA Missile Mission and sustainment constructs. Must have the ability to interface with a broad range of customers, both local and remote, under the purview of the program. Candidate will be responsible for being the local system technical subject matter expert and serve in backup capacity as required in support of the OMAC Lead. Provides rotating pager support.
- Ability to perform Windows and UNIX administration
- Experience with administrating a multi-level Active Directory structure is required
- Experience with LAN/WAN network architecture, services, and functionality is required
- Experience with HP Blade Architecture and Enclosure administration.
- Experience with Altiris and/or Symantec Management Console for server/client software deployment.

Position requires minimum four years general Windows System Administration experience. Must have proven success in the implementation of Engineering and Program Management directives in Operations. Must have excellent technical communications skills to effectively interface with internal and external customers at all levels. Must be able to work in a high visibility environment, focused on 24X7 mission availability, and quickly respond to customer direction/requests. Must have a good understanding of the ITW/AA sustainment process and program support providers.

General experience in operations management to include coordination, delegation, and statusing of operational/administrative tasks is a plus. Must be willing to pro-fill for crew shift work vacancies as needed.

Candidate must meet minimum certification requirement for DoD Directive 8570, “Information Assurance Training, Certification, and Workforce Management”.
This position requires a minimum certification associated with IAM Level I, which may be met with Security+ or higher. Candidate must possess a qualifying 8570 certification within 3 months of hire date. Initial certification expenses will not be covered by the program.
Desired Skills:
- Familiarization with ITW/AA mission and systems is highly recommended.
-- Experience using HP Operations Manager for system monitoring/management.
- Experience with HP Blade Architecture and Enclosure administration.
- Experience with any of the following platforms/applications is a desired: HP blade architecture, HP Operations Manager, HP Remote Graphics Software, LINUX, ESXi VMWare, Cisco and Juniper switch platforms, NetApp, and VSphere Virtual Center Server, Solaris 10, Oracle DB.
