Senior Technician / Soldering, Troubleshooting - Ocala, FL

Description:Ocala Operations is a multi-shift manufacturing facility that build circuit cards, wiring harnesses, and electo-mechanical assemblies. The facility currently has over 1200 employees and provides products to six Missiles and Fire Control sites. Ocala specializes in both low volume high mix and high volume production that has a combination of automated processes as well as labor intensive manufacturing. Ocala Operations has a represented manufacturing workforce that is supported by a strong engineering and operations support team.

This position is responsible for repairs and maintains automated electrical test equipment. Authors and executes preventive maintenance plans. Fabricates test equipment and incorporates design changes. Rebuilds automated test station's computer systems and associated drivers. Conducts self tests and ensures test stations are production ready. This position will be located at a facility that requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
Basic Qualifications:
Two year degree in electronics, or two years of military service with electronics schooling and applied experience, or the completion of a vocational program focused in the area of electronics or equivalent experience.

Soldering experience and basic electronics circuitry trouble shooting experience.

Ability to interpret and create interconnect diagrams, schematics, and assembly drawings.

Ability to create technical work instructions.

Must have the ability to work 2nd shift.

This facility requires special access, thus all candidates must be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong teaming skills. Critical thinking and problem solving. Familiar with Microsoft office products.
Ability to use electronic test equipment such as Digital Multimeter and Oscilloscope.
