Job Responsibilities
Description:You will be a Quality Engineer for our team in Ocala, FL. Our team is responsible for ensuring timely actions and developing standard work that improves team and supplier effectiveness and efficiency, while driving accountability and continuous improvement.
What You Will Be Doing:
As the Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the onsite team and serving as a key point of contact to engage with DCMA leadership, resolve conflicts, and drive results. You will play a critical role in ensuring team alignment and messaging to enable Lockheed Martin goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
-Developing standard work instructions and surveillance plans to reduce manufacturing defects
-Driving continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate quality escapes
-Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and improve effectiveness
-Evaluating Root Cause and Corrective Action plans from suppliers and facilitating discussions for improvement
-Establishing a network with functional stakeholders to drive timely issue resolution

Basic Qualifications:
-Ability to obtain a Final Secret clearance.
-Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related Technical Engineering discipline.
-Experience with Quality Assurance.
-Experience with reading Engineering drawings and specifications.
-Ability to work independently and without direct supervision.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
-High energy, self-starting, team player who achieves goals.
-Communication experience in order to influence others in a concise, data driven manner.
Desired Skills:
-Master's degree in a business or Engineering discipline
- Assembly /production experience
- Program knowledge, including the ability to understand Engineering data packages, including GD&T requirements, material and process specifications, and schematics.
- Familiarity with the manufacturing and inspection techniques
- Experience developing successful performance improvement plans (e.g. return-to-green plans, zero-defect plans, supplier excellence plans)
-ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
-Lean & continuous improvement practitioner (e.g. Six Sigma Green or Black Belt)
- Experience interacting with government customers (DCMA, DoD)
- Excellent interpersonal skills needed for collaboration, communication, and presentations at working and leadership levels
-Experience with drafting and reviewing Manufacturing Process Plans
-Ample experience with root cause and corrective action (RCCA)
-Strong understanding and experience with AS9100 based Quality Management Systems
-Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite applications
-Experience with structured process improvement process activities. i.e. Six Sigma - Black Belt or Green Belt

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
