Job Responsibilities
Description:F-35 Pilot SME. Supports military pilots maintaining and upgrading qualifications using the Full Mission Simulator (FMS). Acts as a subject matter expert by applying advanced technical concepts in the area of tactical aviation. The pilot SME will primarily operate the Instructor Operating Station (IOS) supporting pilot training, tactics development and employment. This position is typically represented by an experienced tactical military pilot.
The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin team at dedicated training sites to fulfill F-35 training and continuation objectives. The successful candidate will implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs and policies, as directed.

Basic Qualifications:
Top Secret security clearance. Current security investigation within 6 years from the investigation close date. Candidate must be able to attain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
Candidate must have a minimum of 1000 hours flight time in fourth or fifth generation fighter aircraft.
Candidate must have outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent leadership traits, strong oral and written communication abilities, and a strong desire to provide outstanding support to the customer. Candidate must be willing to support flexible work hours to align with customer operational schedule and to travel occasionally to support the customer.
Desired Skills:
US Air Force Weapons School or US Navy Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor program graduate.
Fourth or fifth generation fighter aircraft flight time within the last 5 years.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
