Field Service Engineer - IT Systems

Description:This position is with the F-35 Test Data Processing Systems home group in Fort Worth, TX stationed at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, NV as Field Support. This is a permanent position at Nellis AFB, NV reporting to management in Fort Worth, TX. The team uses a wide application of modern technical principles, theories, and concepts in the software and system hardware fields to develop, integrate, test and maintain Flight Test Data Processing Tools and Systems.

The successful candidate, working under only general directions, will be responsible for all phases of customer support as the local System Support Engineer representing Lockheed Martin's F-35 data processing tools and systems. Candidate responsibilities will span all customer support activities as a funnel for new requirements and issue tracking to the development team, provider of training sessions (both formal and informal) to the customer, creator of recommendation reports to the customer, and act as the System Administration and IT System Build expert.

The successful candidate will work with a high-performing multi-site, multi-program team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must have demonstrated effective communication skills as the position will require frequent inter-organizational and outside customer interactions. The ability to travel on occasion for team interaction and integration and test activities is required.

Demonstrated customer relationship management experience is a plus. Experience with data management tools, methodologies, database support and IT systems is required. Supporting network configurations, security requirements, user profile management and system administration is to be expected. Solaris/Unix experience is a plus. Must be able to stay technically ahead and maintain integrity with the ever-growing F-35 mission.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with managing user account setup and Active Directory management on Windows systems
• Experience with System Administration of unique systems
• Experience writing procedures and user guides
• Experience with customer or field service support
• Bachelors or Above Degree in Engineering/Technical Discipline
Desired Skills:
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Security+ certification and CEUs
• Have proper security clearance and appropriate PID access capability.
• Experience with Sustaining Systems / Software / Database Support.
• Experience with RMF/JSIG Compliance
• Manage and maintain Windows servers and at least familiar with Linux and Sun Solaris servers.
• Perform operating system maintenance and updates for Windows.
• Maintain 3rd party software maintenance and updates on Windows.
• Install, manage, and update Lockheed Martin's CDP software.
• Manage system and data backup and recovery on Windows.
• Thoroughly support the objectives of the 59th TES Data Lab Manager and the Data Laboratory Objectives. This will require a team mentality and proactive attitude.
