F-22 Strategic Mission Planner

Description:Conduct F-22 Mission Support System (MSS) mission planning operations supporting F-22 operational test and evaluation at the 422nd Test and Evaluation Squadron, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. Provide system administration, development, & test and evaluation on the entire F-22 Mission Support System mission planning product suite. Support and assist the F-22 Test Director, Flight Test Managers, Flight Test Engineers and Analysts by establishing and maintaining the MSS mission planning product suite and mission data in field representative configurations and in configurations supporting emerging capabilities. Assist pilots with test and operational mission planning and post-mission debrief. Design and execute operational test and evaluation of mission planning products; will be required to provide test reports to the F-22 Test Director. Interface daily with F-22 pilots and frequently with F-22 maintenance personnel. Interface with outside engineering organizations and prime contractors providing hardware and software for the mission planning suite. May be required to work flexible schedule of odd hours, nights or weekends in support of flying operations. Duties may include deploying to support other operational F-22 squadrons to augment F-22 mission planning at exercises or potential combat locations. This is a world-wide deployable position. CompTIA Security+ Certification is required within six months upon hiring. The certification must remain current through continuing education. Must be a US Citizen as this position is located in a special access facility.
Basic Qualifications:
Current Top Secret clearance is required.

Experience with at least one of the following disciplines:
- systems engineering or software engineering
- developmental or operational test & evaluation
- mission planning
- military aircrew

Experience with Linux, Unix, Solaris and Windows operating systems.
Desired Skills:
Prior experience with F-22 mission planning or F-22 avionics/sensors. Strong ability to communicate (both verbal and written) and interface with multiple organizations. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose computer hardware/software equipment. Experience with training or teaching. CompTIA Security+ certification.
