Electronics Engineer Associate (Entry level)

Description:Test site support, at Patuxent River Naval Air Station (NAS), as a Flight Test Instrumentation Operations Engineer (FTIOE), to participate in the Test and Verification (T&V) efforts of the Joint Strike Fighter. This position ensures a focal point and technical leadership in order to provide engineering services for quick response flight test instrumentation. This scope includes mechanical and electrical installations and modifications to the FTI Airborne Data Acquisition and High Speed Camera Systems. Responsibilities to include: Directing and coordinating FTI requirements with other Engineering IPT groups as well as Test Operations, Flight Ops, and Maintenance; Coordinating and supporting pre and post-flight tasks in support of mission requirements; Participating in the pre and post-flight briefings; Attending maintenance scheduling and coordination meetings; Developing and maintaining instrumentation configuration control documentation and data system configuration files; Manage support requirements for real-time FTI system health monitoring in a mission control room environment.
This position may involve some travel to support land and sea based deployments. Selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified materials. U.S. Citizenship required.
The following comment is not targeted at any specific salary grade level. The successful applicant will be compensated based on market rates and internal equity for the work to be performed. The successful internal applicant may be transferred laterally (the same salary grade) with or without a change in compensation or may be promoted into a higher salary grade with or without an upward adjustment in compensation.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Desired Skills:
Excellent Communications Skills, Team Player, Presentation skills, Project Management, JSF Aircraft/Program Knowledge
digital/analog video, Test instrumentation operational experience
Experience with at least one of the following: data acquisition, telemetry, digital/analog circuits, RF applications, sensors applications.
