Electronics Engineer Associate (Entry Level)

Description:Flight test data operations engineer associate. Entry level position responsible for post-flight processing of aircraft data, including recovery, computation, and display. Interfaces with technical personnel in the diagnosis and resolution of problems encountered in the recovery of test data utilizing various data systems, including Windows and Unix servers and specialized data processing equipment. Employee will be mentored by senior engineer in the processing and analysis of data. Some exposure to analog and digital signal conditioning and data acquisition equipment. Some knowledge of video compression and recording devices; solid state and magnetic media recorders; IADS; IRIG Chapter 10 recording; TMATS; GPS and IRIG time standards and receiving devices; and other instrumentation devices to develop, test, and troubleshoot data processing algorithms for aircraft data is desirable. Should be able to demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills as well as the ability to work independently. Familiarity with bus protocols is desirable. Experience in developing, writing and executing data processing acceptance test procedures desired. Experience with the implementation of Windows workstations on an enterprise network is also desired. Position will require periods of working alternate shifts. A combination of education and experience may be considered equivalent to the degree requirement. Case-by-case evaluation must occur. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Electronics Engineering, Computer Sciences or another related technical discipline.

Experience with MS Office Suite.

Ability to work weekends and off shifts in support of flight testing.
Desired Skills:
Excellent Computer skills.

Strong mathematics and computer background.

Experience with analog and digital signal conditioning and data acquisition equipment.

Knowledge of video compression and recording devices; solid state and magnetic media recorders;

Knowledge of IADS; IRIG Chapter 10 recording; TMATS; GPS and IRIG time standards and receiving devices.
