As directed by Executive Order 14042: Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, all current and newly hired employees, in the United States, are required to be fully vaccinated by January 18, 2022.
• Maintain location and accuracy of quantity within the Work-In-Process (WIP) inventory for an assigned Area Control Station (ACS), both physically and on the computerized work order tracking system.
• Direct, assist, assign, and check work of group within assigned stations.

Typical Responsibilities:
 Responsible for maintaining the WIP accuracy of an assigned manufacturing ACS.
 Use bar code reader and computer terminal to perform login transactions identifying both location and quantity.
 Place material in designated racks, bins or floor locations.
 Log jobs released to manufacturing to the “in-work” location or to the next specified location if outside of assigned ACS.
 Provide work to manufacturing in priority sequence and print a daily dispatch list in priority and schedule sequence.
 Continuously audit work order information involving location and other appropriate impact information and quantity accuracy by the performance of cycle-counting procedures.
 Verify the next operation and work center on the operation sheet to reflect where the work will be performed.
 Contact Manufacturing Engineering for routing corrections.
 Maintain close contact with assigned area manufacturing supervision and personnel or Purchasing, Material Control, Manufacturing, Product Support and Engineering Departments.
 Requisition and stage tools for jobs given to manufacturing.
 Keep current with Impact shop practices by attending meetings.

 As required, wrap and protect parts.

 Create move tickets for parts moved to operation/work center.

 Create center rework (W/Y) work orders and appropriate paperwork in support of the non-conforming material rejection report (NMRR) System.

 Perform shop floor work order transfer (SFWOTRN) transactions whenever component parts are moved from kit to kit.

 As required replace work order routing travelers, to comply with changes in manufacturing operations made via the automated Change Notice (ACN) system.

 Follow good housekeeping practices to maintain cleanliness of assigned area

 As directed, perform other similar or related duties.

 Refer unusual conditions to Supervisor.
Basic Qualifications:
• Requires a well-rounded knowledge of material planning, scheduling, expediting, auditing practices and automated shop floor methods, computer systems as applied to scheduling, inventory and production control and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Have some knowledge of machining, quality control procedures, assembly methods and general business procedures in order to plan and coordinate the work of a group.
• Equivalent to short specialized training.

Additional Information:

Work will be performed at the customer's facility in Patuxent River, MD. While working at Pax River, Sikorsky employees must follow operating procedures as established by the customer which include:
• Must be a US citizen.
• Must currently have and/or be capable of obtaining a security clearance.
• Must currently have or be capable of successfully completing an NCIC criminal background check to access Pax NAS.
• Must currently have or be capable of obtaining full unescorted access Pax NAS.
• Must have a valid photo ID (driver's license + social security card or birth certificate OR US passport).
• Must have valid driver's license/vehicle insurance to drive on base at Pax NAS.

This position is dependent upon the anticipated duration of the CH-53K helicopter flight test program, which is expected through December 2024*. At the conclusion of the CH-53K flight test program, the employee may be offered the opportunity to relocate to the Development Flight Center in West Palm Beach, FL to support future flight test programs, pending business conditions.
