USCG System, Integration & Test Lead Engineer

The System Integration & Test (SI&T) Lead Engineer will Works with US Coast Guard Program leadership and MEIT engineers to plan testing efforts – Develop and execute comprehensive test plan that is integrated with USCG customer – I&T planning of automated test and test scenario management – I&T schedule development and planning at LBTS (Land Based Test Sites), specifically MDAC and CSEDS – Oversee program staffing plan and work closely with Cost Account Manager (CAM) and functional management – Multi-Element / Product coordination in CSL for the integration and test efforts listed above – Develop junior engineers from the I&T team as well as from other product teams in system test methods and best practices, including Level 3 testing
- Work closely with USCG customers for production in the shipyard (HII and CG-9321), sustainment/development in Moorestown (CG-9335), and OPC (Baseline 9G) working directly with TechRep, Dahlgren, and PEO IWS. – Consistent interaction with customers to ensure execution of all test activities.
- Work closely with USCG program leadership for major milestone (e.g. ELO, Builder’s Trials, Acceptance Trials, various other shipyard efforts) testing requirements and coordinate all preparation and execution activities.
– Ensure land based test sites used in pre mission analysis are suitable to run tactical code that will be tested during shipyard and at sea test.
– Opportunity to become involved with USCG virtualization effort for the future USCG system.
- Responsible SI&T lead for Agile Planning
– Support development of Program Features, interface with programs to understand program features, decompose program features to product features, generate the product feature acceptance criteria
– Work with Team to ensure tasks are completed in timely fashion. Work also includes attending and presenting at program meetings, technical leadership discussions, strategic planning, monitoring of Systems I&T efforts and potential BOE and proposal support.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent/related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum six(6) years experience in concept development, system design, performance requirements definition, integration and test of large real-time systems.
- Waterfront integration and test experience, leading a team of test integration professionals.
- Availability to travel domestically and internationally as required by the supported program.
- Flexibility to work non-standard work shifts as required by the supported program.
- Ability to attain and maintain a Secret DoD clearance.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in operations/performance analyses of complex weapon systems
- System-level integration and verification of surface system level requirements
- Experience working closely with USCG customer and customer representatives in defining test plans, procedures resolving test documentation comments, defining test schedules and ensuring concurrence on verified requirements.
- Detailed technical knowledge of the physical and functional characteristics of the USCG NSC elements
- Experienced supporting proposal development, cost and technical inputs, IMS, resource loading and earned value metrics
- Thorough understanding of the computer program development and test processes.
- Must have strong analytical, problem solving, leadership skills and demonstrated ability to comprehend and work successfully with complex computer programs.
- Demonstrated strong teamwork, communication (both verbal and written), and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated motivation with strong initiative to accept new technical challenges in complex system engineering assignments.
