THE WORK
Description: We are seeking an Associate Manager to join the RMS Global Sustainment, International Training Products organization, who will be responsible for leading a small team with regard to the development of curriculum and training tools for multiple FMS countries. This role will be responsible for supporting various operations and maintenance courses along with training simulations and interactive courseware lessons through effective Management skills, Project Management, Project planning, and Technical expertise to enable a successful development execution for the customer.

This position will be supporting the product development of training curriculum, training tools, and technical documentation for the US/International Aegis and US Coast Guard. Responsibilities include overseeing the Navy AIM production for lesson plans, trainee guides, tests, presentation materials, training tools, and technical documentation production. This will include editorial and quality assurance of final products prior to delivery to the customer.
This position requires interface with Subject Matter Experts, Development Standard Officer, AIM developers, Instructional Designers, Technical Writers, and Graphic Artists.

Responsibilities:
• Manage a small team of direct reports, including various administrative tasks as required
• Lead the team to define and execute detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reporting
• Managing team resources within allocated budgets and performing earned value management for team activities
• Identifying and addressing issues, risks and opportunities, and resolve customer issues
• Interacting with senior leadership, program management, development, customers, and stakeholders
• Overseeing the development of proposal inputs that correctly estimate the required resources needed to achieve program schedules
• Performing personnel management tasks, including staffing, training, assigning and directing work, and conducting performance reviews. Will provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members
• Conduct one/one setting short and long-term goals
• Interface with customers in regular telecons, Team meetings, and Technical Interchange Meetings

Basic Qualifications:
• Be familiar with NAVEDTRA 131B & 137A naval training standards and instructional system design
• Detail-oriented, team-oriented
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Demonstrated ability to effectively work with internal & external customers
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and work with limited direction to accomplish project goals
• Experience using Navy publications (system and equipment technical manuals, maintenance materials, operating manuals, and/or tactical publications).
• MSOffice Proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
Desired Skills:
Experience leading a small team in training product development of Foreign Military contracts
• Aegis weapon system experience with knowledge of Training philosophy as it applies to Aegis Programs
• Be self-motivated, self-starter, reliable to lead a team and be willing to learn new equipment and systems to develop comprehensive training products.
• Experience applying ADDIE process to training projects to ensure development of sound products
• Knowledge of Scrum and Agile development methodologies
• Strong process discipline with focus on efficiency and optimization
• Experience with data collection and analytical analysis
• XML/html knowledge a plus
• Technical writing/IETM user experience
• Cost Account Manager (CAM)
• Experience with project planning and EV reporting

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
