Our Operations Test Engineering team is critical to delivering reliable chassis and specialized test equipment that support mission critical platforms. By leading this team, you will ensure that test methods and equipment meet the rigorous performance standards required by our customers and national security partners, while continuously improving cycle times and overall efficiency.

THE WORK

The Test Engineering Associate Manager leads the Operations Test Engineering team responsible for chassis and Specialized Test Equipment (STE) production centers, as well as depot operations and legacy product support. You will work closely with program teams to provide the test engineering expertise needed for day to day factory activities, and you will drive the design, development, and implementation of innovative test methods and equipment. This role also oversees program and technical insertion projects aimed at boosting performance and shortening cycle time across functional boundaries.

In this role you will:

• Manage, recruit, select, train, and assess the performance of the test engineering staff, assigning work, conducting salary reviews, and handling recognition or disciplinary actions.
• Coach and develop team members to ensure the Production Test Engineering group consistently meets all business requirements.
• Collaborate with various program teams to supply the necessary test engineering resources for daily factory tasks.
• Design, develop, and implement test methods and equipment that enhance product quality and reliability.
• Lead program and technical insertion projects focused on improved performance and reduced cycle time.
• Oversee environmental stress screening of RF, digital, and power supply assemblies and subassemblies.
• Manage depot level operations supporting multiple customers, including Army, Navy, Air Force, and foreign partners.
• Apply deep expertise in RF, digital signal processing, and electrical system architecture to solve complex testing challenges.
• Oversee the development of test software and equipment platforms such as LabVIEW, Visual Basic, MATLAB, Python, C++, Keysight, Tektronix, and Teradyne.
• Employ project management best practices, including earned value and cost accounting techniques.
• Uphold the highest ethical standards while driving continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline.
• 3-5 years of demonstrated ability to lead groups of multi-disciplined test engineers in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to accept responsibility and accountability.
• Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects at once
• Demonstrated capacity to staff and manage projects
• Demonstrates a strong focus on continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated strong communications skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Project, Visio, and PowerPoint).
• Proficiency in RF and related electrical engineering domains (Digital Signal Processing, Electrical System Architecture, etc)
• Demonstrated adherence to high ethical standards and conduct
• Demonstrated leadership skills and behaviors that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership and Mission First Cultural Imperatives
• Qualified candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position, US Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with RADAR and RADAR subsystems.
• Experience with solid state radar systems and signal processing
• Experience with RF and digital testing of radar system subassemblies and systems.
• Experience with environmental stress screening of RF, digital, and power supply assemblies and subassemblies.
• Experience with depot level operations supporting multiple customers (Army, Navy, Air Force and foreign customers).
• Project management (Earned Value / Cost Account) experience and or coursework
• Experience with development of test software and test equipment platforms (LabView, Visual Basic, Matlab, Python, and C++, Keysight, Tektronix, Teradyne).
• BS in engineering with a minimum of 7 years of technical experience, or a MS in engineering with at least 5 years of overall technical experience.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
