This role directly supports the delivery of high performance radar and sensor systems that safeguard national security, accelerating test cycles and enhancing product reliability.
THE WORK
The Operations Test Engineering Associate Manager leads the Cabinets and ASSETS work centers, handling recruitment, training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary review, and recognition actions. You will collaborate closely with program teams to provide the test engineering talent needed for daily factory operations while designing, developing, and implementing test methods and equipment. You will also lead program and technical insertion projects aimed at improving performance and reducing cycle time across functional boundaries.
In this role you will:
• Lead and mentor the Operations Test Engineering team for Cabinets and ASSETS work centers, overseeing recruitment, training, performance assessment, and career development.
• Design, develop, and implement test methods and equipment, ensuring alignment with program requirements and reducing cycle time.
• Coordinate with program teams to allocate test engineering resources and support day to day factory operations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across test processes, leveraging RF, DSP, and radar subsystem expertise.
• Manage program and technical insertion projects, focusing on performance enhancements and schedule optimization.
• Apply project management best practices, including earned value tracking and cost account management.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of test software and hardware platforms using LabView, Python, Matlab, C++, and industry standard instruments.
• Utilize MS Office tools to generate reports, schedules, and visualizations that support decision making.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline.
• 3-5 years of demonstrated ability to lead groups of multi-disciplined test engineers in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to accept responsibility and accountability.
• Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects at once
• Demonstrated capacity to staff and manage projects
• Demonstrates a strong focus on continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated strong communications skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Project, Visio, and PowerPoint).
• Proficiency in RF and related electrical engineering domains (Digital Signal Processing, Electrical System Architecture, etc)
• Demonstrated adherence to high ethical standards and conduct
• Demonstrated leadership skills and behaviors that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership and Mission First Cultural Imperatives
• Qualified candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position, US Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with RADAR and RADAR subsystems.
• Experience with solid state radar systems and signal processing
• Experience with RF and digital testing of radar system subassemblies and systems.
• Project management (Earned Value / Cost Account) experience and or coursework
• Experience with development of test software and test equipment platforms (LabView, Visual Basic, Matlab, Python, and C++, Keysight, Tektronix, Teradyne).
• BS in an engineering discipline with a minimum of 7 years of technical experience, or a MS in engineering with at least 5 years of overall technical experience.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
