THE WORK
• Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of Linux systems, as well as ensuring their performance and reliability.
• Will work closely with Lockheed Martin RMS classified network operations, cybersecurity teams, and mission-critical programs to ensure seamless integration and operation of our Linux-based systems.

WHO YOU ARE
You possess a unique blend of technical expertise in Linux system administration, cybersecurity, and automation, combined with excellent communication and collaboration skills, allowing you to effectively work with cross-functional teams and troubleshoot complex issues in a fast-paced environment. You will be a detail-oriented and proactive problem-solver with a strong understanding of Linux security, networking protocols, and automation tools, able to prioritize tasks and ensure seamless integration and operation of Linux-based systems.

A level 3 employee is Mid-Career and typically has 3 to 5+ years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
• Cyber security certification such as CompTIA Security+, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration
• In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Alma Linux, and Ubuntu
• Strong understanding of Linux security, including SELinux, iptables, FreeIPA authentication service
• Experience with scripting languages, such as Bash, and Python
• Familiarity with automation tools, such as Ansible
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

Desired Skills:
• CompTIA SecurityX (formerly CASP+) or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
• Experience with Red Hat 7, 8, 9 Linux deployments
• Certification in Linux administration, such as RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator)
• Networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
• Configuring and managing encryption, including SSL/TLS and SSH
• Cisco CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
• Experience with Cisco switching and routing devices CLI
• DoD Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
