THE WORK
Electrical Engineering position tasked with ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into executable solutions. This may include requirements and concept of operations development, system integration, verification and validation, and system transition.
We are seeking candidates to work as part of a mutli-discipline System Engineering team responsible for the design, distribution and reliability of Low and Medium Voltage Power Distribution Systems at multiple production test facilities within the Moorestown, NJ campus. Candidate shall have experience in PLC based systems, Power Quality Monitoring Systems, and Instrumentation and Control Systems.
Design and Documentation
• Prepare technical documents including major equipment specifications, scope of work documents, power system calculations and electrical design documents.
• Develop design documents including single line diagrams, physical arrangement drawings, grounding, power plans and wiring diagrams.
• Generate system and circuit schematics to support engineering requirements.
Systems Integration and Operations
• Work with other subsystems engineers to establish electrical loads and wiring/cabling requirements for various subsystem components.
• Collaborate with Operations during build up to aid in troubleshooting systems.
• Support failure investigation processes and the resolution of discrepancies.
• Incorporate subsystem hardware into a Land Based Test Site or System Integration Lab (SIL) and troubleshoot integration issues.
Power Systems Management
• Design, troubleshoot, commission, and control building electrical and emergency power generation systems.
• Manage and participate in a teaming environment of repair personnel consisting of military, DoD civilians, and/or contracted personnel.
• Support proposal development and identify new business opportunities.

You are a technically proficient engineer with a strong background in power system modeling and the design of low and medium voltage distribution systems. Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with a power engineering design background
• Experience with Systems Engineering Modelling and Analysis. Proficiency in ETAP, SKM Power Tools or other similar Power System software. Able to read and follow wire diagrams and schematics.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD
• Working knowledge and ability to interpret the NFPA 70, National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Working knowledge and ability to interpret the NFPA 70E, Electrical Safety in the Workplace.
• Skill in reading and evaluating electrical blueprints, single line drawings, panel layout sheets, and other electrical schematics.
• Ability to complete preliminary load flow, voltage drop, cable ampacity, short circuit and arc flash calculations.
• Knowledge of 60 hertz and multi-phase Delta and Wye electrical systems.
• Ability to identify equipment specifications requirements for medium and low voltage switchgear, low voltage motor control centers, uninterruptable power system and medium and low voltage cable.
• Experience designing and working with low and medium voltage systems to include substations, transformers, switchgears, motor control centers, distribution panels, and uninterruptable power systems.
• Ability to complete material take-offs to develop rough order of magnitude estimates.
• Knowledge of safety procedures for the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems.
• Experience with design of both AC and DC Systems
• Ability to perform direct architecture trade studies that balance performance, cost and schedule requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project)

• Experience and knowledge of large generators (up to 1.2 megawatt), power distribution systems, and power back-up systems.
• Knowledge of 50/400 hertz and multi-phase Delta and Wye electrical systems.
• Ability to work closely with unionized electricians
