Description:WHAT WE'RE DOING
The AEGIS O&M program is seeking a Linux/Windows System Administrator in Moorestown NJ. This facility houses both Navy and Lockheed Martin personnel.
It primarily serves as a research and development facility for the AEGIS Combat System. AEGIS is a revolutionary naval air defense system capable of guarding against missile threats from land, sea and air.
WHO WE ARE
Our current team handles everything from:
• Periodically travelling to different customer sites around the country and sometimes internationally to perform hardware and software installation de-installation (COTS and custom software).
• Fault detection and fault isolation.
• Volume backups, system monitoring and clean up.
• User support and working knowledge of internal/external network interfaces.
• The ability to write scripts in at least one administrative language.
• Making sure systems are operationally ready at all times.
• Are comfortable with addressing after hours support calls from time to time.
THE WORK
On a day to day basis the work includes:
- Configuring and managing Linux and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installing/loading operating system software, troubleshooting, maintaining integrity of and configuring network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Providing problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
- Providing assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
- Providing support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the E&T tools/client/server/storage/network.
- Providing in-depth consultation in trouble-shooting different operating systems and platforms within different operating system environments.
Please Note:
This position is fulltime onsite in Moorestown, NJ. With travel to other sites both domestically and internationally.
Travel requirements – possible 25-35%
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a government DoD clearance at the Secret level.

Basic Qualifications:
- 2+years related professional experience.
- Ability to lift and carry 40-50 lbs. containers up/down steps, across walkways.
- Experience with the administration and configuration of Security policies as related to both Windows and Linux servers. To also include experience with implementing STIG requirements.
- 2+ years experience supporting UNIX based users on a LAN, including operating systems
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills required.
- Ability to support offsite events, Domestic or International.
- Travel requirements – possible 25-35%.
- Candidate must be able to obtain & maintain a US DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Must hold a valid U.S. Passport.
Desired Skills:
- Bachelors degree in a related STEM field with 2+ years of related experience or Master's degree in a related field and no experience
- Security+ certification.
- Experienced in the installation of COTS-based computer systems
- Experience solving end-user computer system problems and improving performance on the following platforms/operating systems: Solaris, Linux RedHat & RedHawk, Concurrent PowerMax, HP-UX and HP-RT.
- Working knowledge of data communications and networking.
- Experience working with customer/user representatives.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills desired
- Experience working on AEGIS Computer Systems.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $67,000 - $117,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
