Description:Responsible for energy management activities for all RMS-Moorestown sites.

Design, develop, and/or evaluate energy-related projects or programs to reduce energy costs or improve energy efficiency during the designing, building, or remodeling stages of construction.

This individual would specialize in mechanical and/or electrical systems including; but not limited to: heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems; green buildings; lighting; air quality; energy procurement, other.


Responsible for site utilities management and interface with Corporate Finance for the negotiation and procurement of annual utility services contracts.

Oversight and management of the site's annual "Go Green"/Decarbonization program while coordinating with ESH. There is a Corporate commitment for all LM sites to support site decarbonization.

Support Facilities Maintenance personnel with management of the site's building management system including the installation of new electrical subsystem equipment and installation of system software upgrades.

Support programs and projects that seek to assess distributed energy resource (DER) technologies, markets, and policies.

Assist with policy and regulatory research and support, quantitative and economic analysis, and technical analysis.

Work to develop/implement energy reduction projects in various fields such as renewable energy, green power, and distributed energy resources; including photovoltaic (PV); energy storage, and combined heat and power (CHP).

Oversight of bidding and procurement for all utilities for all RMS-Moorestown sites. Contracts covered; but not limited to: utilities, energy marketer, and third-party suppliers of energy and energy related products and services.

Monitoring of utility rates, energy consumption, site budgets and energy improvement projects on a continual basis.

Monitoring of industry trends with the scope of purchasing energy when pricing appears favorable.

Management of energy budget with annual and monthly energy cost forecasting, monthly bill paying and utility invoice oversight.

Active participation in local and national government energy policy making, utility company rate request decisions, and opinions on the effects of existing and proposed laws and tariffs.

Leader for conservation teams to identify opportunities for savings and evaluation of energy savings proposals. The scope of the team is to identify areas in need of improvement; identify projects to reduce energy consumption; and promote training and awareness to the RMS-Moorestown employee population.

Leader for securing available utility incentives for all energy conservation measures and responsible for tracking of Renewable Energy Credit (REC) and On-peak Hours Resource revenues.

Liaison with utility companies to coordinate routine and major tasks (e.g., planned shutdown, meter replacement or new high pressure gas line installation).

Administrative leader responsible for overseeing RMS-Moorestown EV charging stations and session payment collections.

Assistance with submitting annual Energy Information Administration surveys (i.e., EIA-860 and EIA-923) for all RMS-Moorestown distributed generation resources.

Technical assistance to various RMS-Moorestown entities in need of guidance related to energy efficient operation. Such entities include but are not limited to all RMS-Moorestown sites, RMS-Moorestown owned Boiler rooms/Power Houses, RMS-Moorestown leased facility building owners, and RMS-Moorestown maintenance organizations.

Assistance to the ESH department with technical support for energy saving initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, energy use metrics for all North American sites (quarterly reporting in the corporate Environmental Health and Safety Reporting System), and ESH sustainability team.

Basic Qualifications:
BS Mechanical or Electrical engineering degree w/6–10+ years of experience or MS Energy Management degree w/5+ years of experience.

U.S Citizenship Required.
Desired Skills:
New Jersey Professional Engineering license.

Certified Energy Manager from the Association of Energy Engineers.

Strong knowledge of energy procurement, energy conservation, energy reporting/charting, energy rate structure, energy utilization, and environmental impact of energy use.

Proficient in project management, design and construction, as well as the LEED certification process.

Strong knowledge of utility companies and third party providers.

Proficient in continuous improvements tools and processes.

Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
