Contracts Negotiator Staff/Marion, MA

Description:Negotiates, administers, extends, terminates and renegotiates standard and nonstandard contracts. Evaluates contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations. Maintains communications to ensure timely contract execution by the parties. Ensures final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations. May plan and participate in training of contract practices and negotiations to company personnel.

The Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Initially the position will support the Targets and Torpedoes programs. This support will be working directly with various US Navy customers as well as support to prime contractors supporting US Navy customers. Support may include FMS and international sales.

Some travel is required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Proven customer interface skills/ demonstrated customer relationship skills
- Innovative problem solver, steps up to and embraces challenges, team-oriented
- Strong negotiator
- Ability to multi-task and excel under pressure
- Strong communication and written skills
- Proficient in proposing, negotiating and contracting under various contract types
- Demonstrate a full working knowledge and expertise in a variety of contract types (CPIF, CPFF, FFP, Ordering Agreements)
- Familiar with FAR and DFARS
- Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office suite of applications
- Candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearances (requires U.S. Citizenship)
Desired Skills:
- Strong business acumen
- Ability to articulate contract positions to a senior leadership team.
- Ability to manage the proposal development process, including fact-finding, drafting terms and conditions, obtaining approvals, and performing negotiations.
- Experience with contract negotiations, work on complex, large dollar proposals and contracts
