Business Developpment Analyst

Description:Responsible for U.S. Navy torpedo enhancements & sustainment capture and Business Development (BD) support in the Submersibles and Sensors (S2) sub-market segment within the Navigation, Surveillance & Unmanned Systems (NSU) market segment. Grow torpedo substantive component market, support expansion of Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (UUV) market, and position S2 as the leading provider of technology and production for Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport (NUWC, Newport). Manage New Business Funds (NBF) for key capture efforts and work closely with other market segments in NSU In-service Program teams and Program Supportability teams. Primary interface with Undersea Technology Innovation Consortium (UTIC); NUWC, Newport; various NAVSEA codes in coordination with in-service program teams to capture new business to meet NSU objectives and requirements.

Support C6ISR Business Development. The successful candidate will support the S2 Business Development team while directly supporting the U.S. Navy and maritime market segment. Specifically, the candidate will primarily perform BD responsibilities to support the NAVSEA and NUWC, Newport market and sustainment activities.

U.S. Navy and maritime market and sustainment BD Responsibilities include:
o Provide the LMC BD linkage to NAVSEA and NUWC, Newport in-service and sustainment program teams.
o Manage the Market Assist (MA) and Bid & Proposal (B&P) budgets for U.S. Navy and maritime market/sustainment capture activities.
o Manage U.S. Navy torpedo pursuits in the long-range plan (LRP). Lead capture efforts for an anti-torpedo torpedo.
o Support the Program Management Office (PMO) with monthly forecasting of key Orders
o Develop market and sustainment strategy and marketing presentations for external and internal briefings.
o Support NAVSEA and NUWC, Newport executive briefings.
o Primary provider for Competitive Intelligence to the S2 BD team in the areas of torpedoes and UUVs as they pertain to NAVSEA and NUWC, Newport; and all northeast United States competitors, including SENEDIA.
o Coordinate capture activities with LM stakeholders including the UUV teams in Palm Beach, Florida; BD and technical teams in Manassas, Virginia; LM Government Affairs; cyber teams as AT and LO/CLO become necessary; and other LM activities as needed.
o Support development and execution of customer engagement plans.
o Position to “Win” coordination.
o Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
• U.S. Navy and maritime BD team support activities include:
o Routine reporting coordination (IOI, NBB, etc.).
o Long Range Plan (LRP) development support.
o NBAE planning & NBB support.
o IR&D, B&P and MA monitoring and support.
o Tradeshow and marketing planning and support.
o Strategy development and execution.
Basic Qualifications:
• ~3-5 years’ work experience with USN programs.
• Experience with Business Development
• Experience or familiarity with U.S. Navy torpedoes.
• U.S. DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours and conduct domestic travel.
• Aspiration to learn and to advance in Business Development.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Team player.
• Self-starter with entrepreneurial attitude.
• Understanding of capture process and risk-based assessment.
Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with U.S. Navy enterprise, NAVSEA, Strategic Capabilities Office, and NUWC, Newport.
• Experience with U.S. Navy acquisition process and procedures.
• Experience with Other Transaction Authority (OTA) process and procedures
• Experience or familiarity with Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (UUV)
• Ability to interface with IPT-level leaders.
• Ability to generate presentations and marketing campaigns
• Understanding of CRAD, IRAD, and NBF.
• Technical experience with U.S. Navy torpedoes.
• Demonstrated experience working with BD Executives and supporting related initiatives across multiple stakeholders and familiarity with U.S. Navy.
