Plant Engineering Associate Manager/Marietta Aeronautics

Description:Provides direction and oversight of weekend plant operations of an industrial facility containing 8.5 million square feet of floor space dedicated to aircraft production and assembly. The Facilities Operations Associate Manager will be required to work three 13-1/3 hour shifts over Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on a weekly basis. In addition, the Associate Manager would be expected to help cover holidays along with the existing coverage personnel. The Associate Manager would be expected to participate virtually or in person in weekly overtime preparation meetings prior to the weekend, shift tie-ins, assure work continuity between the weekend shifts, and stay over to provide a tie-in to Plant Operation Managers following the weekend. Provides leadership to supervisors, individual contributors, and represented employees using established policies and procedures. Responsible for supervising multiple represented hourly classifications in Plant Engineering. Works directly with maintenance personnel to identify and resolve maintenance issues. Develops work assignments and assesses performance. Coordinates maintenance repairs and projects with Facilities Engineering as needed. Many tasks associated with production require the knowledge of machine tools and other standard equipment (drills, lathes, planners, etc). Reliability centered maintenance experience is desired. Requires both communication and coordination skills with other department managers and shift supervisors to insure work assignments are performed timely, accurately, and completely. Evaluate work and job performance for soundness of judgment, overall quality, efficiency and safety. Ensures that projects are completed timely following established procedures, schedules, and work plans. Manages several subcontractors performing Fire Protection, HVAC contractors, industrial cleaning services for paint
booths, building automated logic control and
monitoring systems, custodial services, grounds maintenance, and building and grounds services for masonry, concrete, excavating etc. Motivates a culture of accountability among leadership and team members.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience in the management of the maintenance operations of a large industrial complex, including budgeting, manpower planning, managing personnel/issues, and decision making skills that produce positive results.

Must possess strong leadership and communication skills to successfully coordinate and horizontally integrate with other areas of facilities, other functional departments, engineering, quality, programs, contracts, labor relations, human resources, and production.

Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in
US as a permanent resident. This position is located
at a facility that requires special access.

Ability to work across any shift at this facility.
Desired Skills:
Experience with:
Fire Protection systems
Building Management systems
Reliability Centered Maintenance strategies and methodologies.
Electrical Distribution including low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems.
Maximo computerized maintenance management system
Strong organizational, planning, prioritization, and time management skills.
Experience in a union environment
