Join Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Marietta, GA, as a Multi-Functional Manufacturing Associate Manager (Level 4). As an Associate Manager of F-35 Center Wing, you will be responsible to lead aircraft structure drilling and assembly activities and supervisors of represented workforce to accomplish safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Leadership and Management:
• Lead and oversee Supervisors, Technical Leads, and manufacturing activities, including facilities and capital planning, tool utilization, manufacturing plans, workflows, and crew loading.
• Assign work priorities to manufacturing planning, manufacturing engineers, industrial engineers, quality engineers, production control, and inspection teams.
• Manage direct, indirect, and allocated Business Unit Budgets.
• Second shift
Production and Performance Management:
• Utilize earned value management tools to manage and track production task execution.
• Ensure timeliness and accuracy of aircraft records.
• Drive the overall strategy and execution of manufacturing processes, ensuring alignment with budget and schedule targets.
• Coordinate with manufacturing engineering to provide technical guidance to employees and optimize staffing, line analysis, and planning.
Quality and Compliance:
• Verify that products meet all quality and compliance requirements through rigorous inspections and tests.
• Ensure tooling, workplace layouts, and staffing align with cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality, schedule, and cost efficiency.
• Reinforce a culture that prioritizes Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention.
• Ensure certification of employees performing tasks that require certification.
Safety and Work Environment:
• Provide and maintain a safe work environment, taking corrective action to address unsafe conditions.
• Ensure compliance with company and F-35 program policies and procedures.
• Adhere to defined Core processes, submitting changes or exceptions as necessary for program-specific processes.
Employee Coordination and Development:
• Oversee employee recruitment, training, performance management, and work assignments.
• Conduct annual performance assessments for salaried employees.

Basic Qualifications:
• Leadership experience in an aircraft manufacturing operations environment.
• Experience managing safety, quality, cost, and schedule in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience developing business strategies and tactical plans to achieve production objectives.
• Experience developing and implementing quality and affordability improvement initiatives.
• Professional experience in identifying and building organizational talent.
Desired Skills:
Experience leading in a union environment.
• Aircraft structures experience
• Ability to manage, coach, train, and motivate teams in technical and leadership development.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide team members in using data to inform decision-making.
• Proven record of making sound decisions in a leadership role.
• High level of accountability and a proven track record of meeting commitments.
• Problem solving (root cause and corrective action) and continuous improvement experience.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interface with all levels of the organization, support organizations, customers, and governmental oversight organizations.
• Strong presentation and speaking skills as well as the ability to address complex matters and solutions with senior leadership.
• Experience using SFM, PDM, SAP, STK and Tableau/Tool management.
• Skills and experience in using Microsoft suite products.
• Possess an understanding of management operation system principles (such as FLEMOS) and demonstrated leadership engagement practices.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
