Description:Performs Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) audits across Lockheed Martin within the Governance focus team to monitor and report on risks, exposures, internal controls and key performance indicators across the company. This position will specifically focus on ESH and requires broad ESH experience.

Candidate must possess a strong ESH background, analytical skills, business acumen to review and critique the effectiveness of ESH and related topic processes, and business writing abilities to enhance business intelligence. The candidate will develop/execute audit programs, write audit reports, coordinate issue closure and risk mitigation activities and serve as a liaison with audit clients across the Corporation. In addition, they will mentor and educate junior staff members. In addition, the candidate should have the ability to recognize, understand and define an internal control structure.

This position is virtual to corporate headquarters. The salary for this position will be adjusted to reflect the salary band for the geographic location of the selected employee. The locations listed in the requisition are for convenience only and will be adjusted to the selected candidate. It is anticipated that this position will require approximately 65% travel including some international.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline
- At least 12 years of related experience in multiple ESH functions
- General knowledge / understanding of the ESH regulatory and compliance environment
- Detail oriented
- Effective team orientation and team building skills
- Communications - ability to clearly and effectively articulate business problem statements to include difficult issues at multiple levels from tactical employee through executive leadership, both verbal and written.
- Possesses effective analytical abilities for understanding business processes/procedures and their impact on overall company operations.
- Demonstrated Business and Customer Acumen
- Understand business strategy objectives and proactively bring new concepts and ideas to the audit plan
- Ability to work at both a tactical and strategic level to identify themes or high level potential risks to the organization.
- Ability to develop and foster working relationships with business leaders and critical staff members
- This position is virtual to corporate headquarters, but employees must be located at a Main Lockheed Martin business unit location
Desired Skills:
- One or more ESH certifications (CIH, CSP, CHMM)
- Prior audit experience
- Process oriented

- Strong understanding of the corporate structure
