Engineering Project Manager (EPM)

Description:Engineering Project Manager (EPM) for the Surveillance Integrated Common Processor (ICP) program, responsible for TI16/ASB17 baselines contained within LANT Group 1 and PAC. Productionization responsibilities will include development, integration, test, and certification of the LANT Group 1 and PAC baselines, including identification/correction of Pri 1 and Pri 2 Problem Trouble Reports (PTRs), Factory Acceptance Test, Readiness Review planning and execution, Longevity Testing, and Installation Readiness Review/Approval from PMS485. Also includes planning and supporting, development of the Base Electronic System Engineering Plan (BESEP) and Site Acceptance test Plans and Procedures, in accordance with the Government approved Master Test and Evaluation Plan.

The EPM will be responsible for directing the Lockheed Martin team and multiple subcontractors/partners on all aspects of the program. The EPM will be a key participant in technical and programmatic communications with the customer. The EPM will also interface with LM Engineering and Technology (E&T) Managers to ensure program needs are being staffed and schedules and budgets are accurately being performed against and managed.

Responsibilities include standard cost, technical, and schedule performance of both LM and any partners/subcontractors/vendors/etc; Ensuring that work products produced adhere to documented requirements per critical path need dates; Working with program management to identify and address issues, both technical and programmatic across all Surveillance programs; and supporting proposal efforts within the business area.
Basic Qualifications:
-Must have a strong technical background; the ability to write/interpret/review performance requirements and direct/perform trade studies
-Must have the capability/ability to interface with the customer, subcontractors, and other agencies to perform highly technical problem investigations
-Experience with PMS485, ICP, IWS5 and/or adjacent ASW/SWFTS/ARCI/SQQ89 programs and business models, Submarines/Surveillance/Surface Ship platforms, Hardware and Software Development/Test/Integration, and overall COTS based architectures, surface ship environments and its effects on hardware development, software development and integration
-Earned value management, scheduling, costing, understanding of E&T processes, and familiarity with all E&T functional organizations, including familiarity with Operations, Quality, Finance, and other adjacent organizations
-Experience in leading/managing small to medium sized engineering teams on tasks that range from a few weeks to a year or more in duration
-Good communication skills (verbal/written), and comfortable with stand-up presentations
