Primary responsibilities:
Manager for Electronic Simulator Technicians at the Networked Training Center, Luke AFB. Provides direction and support to include supervision, mentoring and career development, coordinating employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessments, work assignments, allocates resources to achieve program objectives and meet Customer expectations as well as recognition/disciplinary actions for the group. Ensures all site maintenance, operations, safety and security policies and procedures are followed. Provides systems engineering guidance for the group and participates in design kick-off meetings, design reviews, and periodic program reviews. Oversees the Operations/Support Group (OSG) workflow, manages the material budget, Analyzes Discrepancy Reports and Pilot Critiques for trends, maintains and reports maintenance statistics on the simulator cockpits, and coordinates with the other departments to address improvements and enhancements required to meet the Customer needs.
Basic Qualifications:
- 4 year degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience / combined education
- 8 years electronic / avionics related field
- 8 years professional experience in management of Operations and Maintenance of training/simulation devices or related field
- Excellent leadership abilities guiding and managing subordinate employees
- Strategic thinker and planner
- New business Capture bid and proposal experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated interpersonal, team-building skills, strong work ethic and self-motivation
- Demonstrated ability to manage statistical data for presentations and reports
- Candidate must have the ability to interact effectively and build effective relationships with customers
Desired Skills:
- Familiar with logistics and budgetary requirements
- Sound analytical background in areas such as system functional analysis and trend analysis as well as cost and schedule constraints
- Familiar with network security processes and certifications
- Knowledge of flight simulation systems and techniques
- Familiarity with technical proposal development
- XPAT / REPAT process and oversight of overseas personnel
