As a Component Engineer in the Parts, Materials and Processes (PMP) Standardization group you’ll work on a team in a range of projects that will challenge you to learn and grow in your career. You’ll use your education, experience and growing expertise to drive selection of preferred PMP and maintain accurate PMP requirements in the engineering tools (PMPDB, EPDM, ERP). Working side by side with PMP subject matter experts, Procurement, Receiving Inspection and PMP manufacturers you'll develop requirements to fulfill product schedule, cost and performance requirements.

In this role you will:
• Become an expert in the engineering design tools and be able to recommend and evaluate tool enhancements

• Perform data maintenance for Parts and Specification in the PMP Database and EPDM

• Drive Space preferred PMP selection, factoring in need and cost and ensuring the attainment of design objectives

• Support subject matter experts and PMP Database users with recommended solutions to data issues

• Work on projects to support engineering design tools

Typically looking for 2 to 5 years of professional experience

• Someone with the ability to handle shifting priorities, multiple projects and timeline pressure to meet deadlines

• The ability to work with management and program representatives at several levels

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience working PMP (Parts, Materials, and Processes) on a program

• Good understanding of Electrical/Electronic/Electromechanical (EEE) parts performance requirements and specifications

• Good understanding of mechanical parts performance requirements and specifications
• Good writing, communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience working collaboratively with customers and teammates with a customer focus
Desired Skills:
• Experience successfully completing projects and/or multi-discipline team efforts by applying
technical knowledge and leadership skills

• Documentation Engineering experience: plans and coordinates preparation of documentation to balance technical, cost and schedule needs

• Advanced proficiency in software tools such as MS Office (Access, Excel, Project), SAP, is a plus

• Familiar with using business tools and systems for configuration management and quality control (e.g. SAP, EPDM, PMPDB, LIMS)

• Experience using EXCEL pivot tables for data reporting

• Knowledge of relational databases

Pay Rate:
In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $64,400 - $107,400 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
