Description:Candidate will provide planning, direction, control and reporting in support of several Towed Array programs within Operations. Represents Operations as a primary interface to the line of business program management, engineering, sourcing, quality, finance and other functions as required. Develop manufacturing program plans and schedules to ensure successful program completion with correct staffing levels. Participate in problem resolution by understanding program goals, tradeoffs and schedules. Conduct reviews during the manufacturing cycle to identify issues, develop work around plans to mitigate risk and to implement process improvements. Coordinate shipping information with Program Manager and communicate to packaging/shipping organization. Coordinate make/buy policy and support implementation plans. Participate in proposal preparation for new business and for scope changes on the existing program. This position may require occasional travel for customer and vendor interface.
Basic Qualifications:
-Strong analytical and organizational skills
-Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Concepts
-Strong leadership skills and ability to influence people
-Ability to lead a proposal effort
-Strong financial skills
-Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Obtaining a security clearance requires US citizenship.
Desired Skills:
-Strong familiarity with Production Operations
-SAP/COS experience
-CAM certified
-Green belt or Black belt certified
-Experience working with represented workforce
-Proposal experience
