What You'll Do:

This employment opportunity with Lockheed Martin includes on the job mentorship by some of the brightest engineers in the defense industry who will challenge you to grow your skills in computer systems, hardware, software and networking. DevOps assistance needed to stand-up and maintain integrated software environments used to develop, integrate, test and deploy mission critical military systems in a lab setting. The successful candidate will be working under direction of a lead engineer to advance development environments that enable Anti-Submarine Warfare systems vital to our nation's defense. Successful applicants will join a team that currently develops, delivers, and operates fully integrated solutions for military users across the globe. Liverpool is a village just outside of Syracuse, NY on Onondaga Lake in what is called the Central New York region. Syracuse is the major hub in the region, and has everything you would expect from a small city with a strong college influence. New York City and Philadelphia, PA are each about a 4 hour ride away, Rochester is just over an hour and ¼ to the west, and The Finger Lakes region with its beautiful scenery and wineries are just off to the west. Beautiful Lake Ontario and hundreds of other lakes are nearby and the Adirondack Mountains are just two hours to the northeast. Basic Qualifications:
• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn a variety of new skills & tools

• Excels in both team & individual work

• Good working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

• Programming using C++/C, JAVA, Python Language

• Good Math Aptitude, Object Oriented Programming

• Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
* C++/JAVA experience (scripting, development, shells, python, etc.)

*Experience with software installation and testing

*High School course work or lab experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable: design, software, robotics or other competition teams related to engineering projects.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $20,900 - $40,100 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $24,100 - $43,600. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
