As an EGSE Telemetry Engineer you will work under more senior engineers to support the full design cycle of Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE); coordinating with partners to develop, design, document, perform incremental system tests, and acceptance test for EGSE used for Lockheed Martin Space missions. You will also design, create and support unique/custom designed circuitry, subassemblies & assemblies, as well as the engineering design documentation required to produce them. Additionally, you will develop and support COTS telemetry applications and telemetry application scripts along with support scripts. Typical tasks include assisting in requirements generation, production support, test support, design qualification, requirements verification, test results analysis, formal acceptance, delivery, installation and product support.


SCOPE OF TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE CONSISTS OF:
- Telemetry concepts, telemetry systems, and telemetry applications

- Computer networking, servers, PCI cards and computer operating systems

- Power supplies, rack design and packaging, cabling and wiring, and COTS components for use in spacecraft test equipment.

The ideal candidate will have emerging leadership skills, good oral and written communication skills, be able to grow into mentoring and developing subordinates, and have a strong background in electrical engineering design. A willingness to travel is required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Understanding of electronic & electrical components and systems
• Understand electrical system design principles and concepts.
• Ability to interpret and implement specific design requirements.
• Ability to develop technical drawings depicting detailed design of electrical / electronic circuits.
• Attention to detail, conversant with MS office tools.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with and/or desire to learn telemetry concepts, telemetry system design and script writing
• Experience with troubleshooting telemetry applications and scripts in an environment of computer networks and computer operating systems
• Experience with digital and analog electrical design
• Possess Can-Do attitude and an ability to identify and execute required steps to bring projects to successful closure
• Problem solving and project planning experience
• Professional and interpersonal communication skills required to interface with individuals from various disciplines while performing complex serial and parallel tasks required to successfully deliver support equipment products to our Customer
