Description:Perform hands-on dynamic test setup, operations and tear-down for dynamic testing to include acoustic, vibration, shock, modal, and mass properties testing of flight hardware. Test support will range from small components to entire spacecraft. This position requires work in a fast-paced, Dynamic Test area where team work and situational awareness allows the team to support our Customer's 100% Mission Success goals. The candidate will work in a team environment to create innovative solutions to support our customer's unique test requirements. Support of all shifts and extended work hours, to include weekends and holidays, may be required based on schedule requirements. Offsite travel may also be required to support customer requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
• High School diploma.
• Experience and/or knowledge of proper use of standard hand tools.
• Ability to complete routine work instructions with general supervision.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks in new lines of work or special assignments using detailed work instructions.
• Basic computer skills, e.g. MS Office.
• Strong work ethic with the ability and willingness to support shift work (1st, 2nd and 3rd), extended hours and weekend work when required.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.
Desired Skills:
Additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks.
Knowledge or experience with:
• General knowledge associated with the setup and operation of vibration shaker systems.
• General knowledge associated with the setup and operation of acoustic systems.
• Mechanical and/or electrical trouble shooting of vibration/acoustic test equipment.
• General test equipment operations.
• Gantry/Bridge/Rail crane operations.
• The operation of Personal Arial Lifting Devices, forklift and other material handling devices.
•Reading/Interpreting engineering drawings.
•Current security clearance.
•Experience working Property Coordinator tasks to include the maintenance of property/equipment owned by the government and Lockheed Martin in accordance with Lockheed Martin policies.
