This role is within the Mission Engineering and Operations (MEO) organization supporting the Payloads team as a Mission Systems Engineer. The position is to support spacecraft operations, through operational software products and CONOP development. The candidate will develop new software products, design, code, test and install products as well as maintain existing products. In support of mission operations, each member of the team is expected to become a domain expert in an area of mission support for payloads, and to support the rest of the team through reviews, testing and backup support of their products and CONOPs. The candidate will be responsible for developing and updating operational CONOPs for their area of experience to include being the primary interface between operations and certified principle engineers.

Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelors degree in Systems, Software, Aerospace, or other Engineering discipline from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education

-Experience with Windows and LINUX operating environments

- Proven experience working on technical teams

- Active TS/SCI with the ability to maintain this clearance level
Desired Skills:
- Previous Payload satellite subsystem experience
- Previous knowledge of satellite Command and Control software
- Demonstrates strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, time-management, and self-motivation skills
- Demonstrates flexibility to adapt to constantly changing requirements and situations
- Demonstrate experience in assessing risk, properly prioritizing, obtaining status, and accomplishing multiple tasks with only general direction
- Programming experience in MATLAB, JAVA, or Python
