This is a functional leadership position responsible for personnel, processes, training and tools for the System Test Architecture and Engineering function within the Systems Engineering Organization. Typical job responsibilities include:
• Providing technically qualified staffing to program teams across all Space Test Engineering areas including Denver and Sunnyvale campuses
• Identify and lead initiatives that align with strategic, tactical and operational organizational and enterprise objectives
• Drive System Thinking values and culture across programs and locations to achieve broad common processes and tools
• Apply DF(x) principles to drive affordability and testability to programs and products enhancing the overall test process
• Develop meaningful metrics to track effectiveness of initiatives
• Support special assignments like Independent Review Teams (IRTs) while maintaining all job functions and responsibilities

The selected candidate must be willing to travel up to 25% and be willing to work overtime

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, Physics or other related discipline or equivalent work experience
• Experience with spacecraft system test life cycle including test requirement definition, test product development, test execution, and test reporting
• Previous leadership experience with technical teams either engineering-based or test/manufacturing-based
• Demonstrated continuous process and product improvement experience
• Design and test experience with one or more subsystems or disciplines outside of Systems Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, GN&C, Propulsion, RF, Software, etc.)
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance
Desired Skills:
• 8 years of direct spacecraft system test experience
• 5 years of leadership experience
• Test script/software development and execution including closed-loop test requirement closure
• Knowledge of software architectures in one or more of the following areas:
• COTS test software (e.g. NI LabView, NI TestStand, HP Vee, Virtual Rack)
• Test software languages (e.g. Python, C++, Java, Perl, Visual Basic)
• Prior experience in development of cost/benefit trades and/or business cases
• Prior experience supporting Independent Review Teams or similar initiatives
• Experience with real-time, hardware-in-the-loop test beds and/or simulators
• Active TS/SCI security clearance
