We have an immediate leadership opportunity for a Facilities Project Manager (Strategic Planning & Common Tools Manager) to join our mission. Based out of either Littleton, CO or Sunnyvale, CA, you will be responsible leading a team of Facilities professionals in the planning and utilization of office, production, test, and lab space in the San Francisco Bay and Denver areas. You will also oversee the Facilities Long Range Strategic Plan and have an opportunity to shape the future facilities footprint of LM Space to meet the demands of the business.
You and your team will also be responsible for all Common Tools, Databases, Software licenses, SharePoint and common processes across Space geographical locations. Our Common Tools team is responsible for implementing common tools and processes across the enterprise to improve efficiency. The team works with Enterprise Business Services (EBS) to implement both tactical and strategic IT solutions to meet the organization’s needs.

This role will report to the Senior Manager of Planning and Lease Operations and provide strategic plans regarding:

• Facilities planning and design.
• Facilities renovation and improvement.
• Facilities construction.
• Facilities funding sources.
• Energy management systems.
• Computer assisted facilities management.
• Resource development.
• Business Area wide standards for selected facility materials.
• Communications and training for Facilities employees and customers.
• Strategic planning, long range planning and data planning.
• First line supervision of the Advanced Planning and Common Tools teams.
• Facilities record management and government reporting.

Basic Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in a formal leadership role

• Knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices of defense contracting Facility Management with particular reference to planning, design, and modernization as well as structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering

• Knowledge of the regulatory and industrial policies, practices, and processes of local, state, and federal agencies which impact facilities planning and development

• Must understand the principles of project controls and CADM

• Familiar with construction technology, construction management, and construction scheduling

• Experience with budgetary planning, preparation, and management

• Experience with management information systems that relate to facilities planning, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting particularly with multiple funding sources

• Experience planning and managing an integrated program of facilities planning, design and construction

• Experience comprehending and evaluating complex architectural and engineering designs, plans, and specifications

• Must be a United States citizen and be able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
Desired Skills:
• A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university, preferably with a major in Engineering, Facilities Management, Operations Planning, Construction Management, or a related field

• 5+ years of experience with move management, scenario planning, and strategic plans in a fast-paced corporate environment utilizing CADM or a similar tool

• 5+ years of experience with CAD and/or Visio planning tools

• Active TS/SCI security clearance

• Strong understanding of building information modeling software, Tririga, and classified building design

• Knowledge of International Facility Management Association (IFMA) and Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) as it relates to space standards

• Knowledge of interior design and principles of architecture

• General knowledge of International Building Code (IBC) and Uniform Building Code (UBC)

• Knowledge of construction cost estimating

• Lean Six-Sigma - Greenbelt/Blackbelt Certification

• Facilities Information Systems Implementation/Operation management experience

• Advanced oral and written presentation skills

• Experience collecting and analyzing data and presenting effective oral and written reports

• Experience leading the activities of others engaged in various technical activities

• Experience utilizing management information systems

• Experience providing technical assistance to others

• Experience integrating technology into business decisions and operations

• Ability to anticipate conditions, plan ahead, establish priorities, and meet schedules

• Ability to act independently and promptly to situations and events
