Your team will set the standard for rigor, speed, and insight across the capture lifecycle—modernizing processes, scaling best practices, and embedding AI-enabled decision-making into every pursuit.
Key Responsibilities

Capture Operations Leadership

Own capture process and architecture: Win Plan, Gate Reviews, and command media—streamlined, scalable, and enforced
Support priority captures - Capture Manager (CM) and Deputy CM roles; leading major capture milestones Black Hat through Red Team
Drive capture rigor: business cases, strategy reviews, and executable win strategies
Represent Space in 1LM enterprise capture initiatives; pilot and scale best practices
Work across Business Areas developing capture standards and
Capture Talent Center Leadership

Build and sustain a high-performing capture talent pipeline
Own capture training strategy, budget, curriculum, and delivery across Space
Lead capture manager assessments; align talent to opportunity and accelerate development
Cultivate community: Community of Practice, communications (e.g., Capture Comet newsletter), and engagement
Maintain modern, on-demand training platforms and resources
Lead various Community and University outreach programs, including interfacing directly with students and instructors
Competitive Intelligence & Position-to-Win (CIPTW) Leadership

Strategic Clarity: Define what matters—key competitors, customer priorities, and winning moves
Speed to Insight: Deliver actionable intelligence at the pace of capture decisions
Integration: Embed CIPTW into capture rhythms; no “after-the-fact” analysis
Talent Development: Grow a bench of analysts into strategists; create leaders
Modernization: Lead AI adoption to scale intelligence and reduce manual workflows; automate collection, synthesis, and insight generation
Influence: Shape senior decisions with concise, credible, and compelling insights
Basic Qualifications:
• Proven capture, program or business development leadership with direct impact on wins
• Experience in competitive intelligence and Position-to-Win methodologies
• Exceptional communicator—able to influence across MSAC, Lines of Business, Business Areas, and Enterprise partners
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional teams and drive outcomes
• Strong business acumen: can translate strategy into executable capture plans
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI; U.S. Citizenship required
Desired Skills:
• Experience leading leaders and scaling enterprise-level initiatives
• Track record of building high-performing teams and talent pipelines
• Expertise in AI/automation applied to capture, intelligence, or decision support
• Advanced facilitation of strategy reviews and color teams (Black Hat through Red)
• Strong stakeholder management; trusted partner to senior executives
• Experience shaping large, strategic pursuits in the Space or Defense domain
• Active TS/SCI clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $151,200 - $266,570. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
