RF Engineering Manager

Description:Lockheed Martin Space invites you to join the dynamic world of RF Engineering where you will be challenged to deliver advance RF Payloads to our Military Support Programs (MSP). The Payloads Radio Frequency (RF) Products Manager on MSP is responsible for development, fabrication, assembly, test and delivery of complex RF products including receivers, converters, amplifiers, and antennas. This position leads a technical staff of Payload Certified Principal Engineers (CPE) for both Lockheed Martin built and subcontractor supplied RF hardware. The selected leader will oversee the preparation and maintenance of specifications, analysis, and test methods associated with the Payload products and ensure verification of performance requirements. Position is responsible for leading or overseeing trade studies and will ensure all technical and programmatic impacts are considered. Coordination across all program Engineering and Manufacturing organizations will be required to ensure the Payloads organization meets the mission needs.
The Engineering Manager is responsible for building the talent pipeline; hiring, managing, and training RF Engineering resources. Additional responsibilities include evaluating engineering personnel for performance reviews, promotions, merits and recognitions. The Engineering Manager will ensure Lockheed Martin Space standard processes and tools, best practices, and training are available and properly implemented on the program. The Candidate must embrace and use Lockheed Martin’s Full Spectrum Leadership tenets in accomplishing their objectives.
The position may require occasional travel to customer and subcontractor facilities as well as other LM facilities.
*Experience in leading a team (either as an L-coded manager or as technical lead)
*Demonstrated communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical and programmatic issues to subordinates, peers, management and customers.
*Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities in a highly dynamic, high tempo environment.
*Demonstrated commitment to the development of others
*Experience interfacing with customer representatives and higher level leadership
*Familiar with earned value management systems
*Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or similar discipline
*Active DoD Top Secret w/ ability to obtain SCI Clearance
*5+ years direct experience leading multifaceted engineering teams
*Demonstrated technical depth in RF hardware, Antennas, RF electronics, or related Electrical Engineering discipline
*Experience as Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) or industry equivalent
*Experience as Control Account Manager (CAM) or industry equivalent
*Knowledge and experience in adjacent technical disciplines (electrical systems, mechanical engineering, flight sciences)
*Experience in Risk and Opportunity Management
*Demonstrated ability to build, maintain and coach a team, which includes the execution and evolution of a business rhythm that effectively communicates and achieves program objectives and priorities.

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $134,000 - $223,400 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
