As a Reliability Engineer Sr. at our Waterton campus located in Littleton, CO. As part of the Smart Buildings team, Reliability Engineers will be primarily focused on efficient and reliable plant operations. Overall, the goal of a Reliability Engineer is to ensure that systems and equipment operate reliably and efficiently, minimizing downtime and maximizing overall performance.
In this role, you will:
• Perform failure analysis: Identifying and analyzing the root causes of equipment or system failures to determine the underlying reasons for the failure. Evaluate reliability modeling: Developing mathematical models to predict the reliability of systems and equipment, using techniques such as failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and reliability block diagrams (RBD).
• Ensure maintenance optimization: Developing and implementing maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime and minimize downtime, including preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and condition-based maintenance.
• Design for reliability: Working with design engineers to ensure that new equipment and systems are designed with reliability in mind, using techniques such as reliability-centered design and design for maintainability.
• Perform testing and validation: Conducting tests and validating the performance of equipment and systems to ensure they meet reliability and performance requirements.
• Perform Data analysis: Collecting and analyzing data on equipment and system performance to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with other Facilities team members: Working with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and engineering, to ensure that reliability considerations are integrated into all aspects of the organization.
Reliability Engineers use a range of tools and techniques, including:
• Reliability software: Such as Weibull++, Reliasoft, and SAP PM
• Statistical analysis: Using statistical methods to analyze data and identify trends
• Condition monitoring: Using sensors and other technologies to monitor equipment condition in real-time
• Predictive maintenance: Using techniques such as vibration analysis and infrared scanning to predict equipment failures
• Root cause analysis: Using techniques such as the 5 Whys and fishbone diagrams to identify the
underlying causes of failures
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
• Previous Facilities experience or working knowledge of building infrastructure.
• Track record of implementing executable solutions.
• Functional knowledge of building plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with current building codes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Construction or industrial maintenance background including managing general contractors and subcontractors.
• Experience working with and developing FMEA and asset hierarchy organization
• Familiarity of production machinery controls systems, and integration into smart building systems
• History of driving savings through value engineering cost designs
• Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain clearances as needed to support Customers
• Knowledge of LMBuildings terminology and how to operate
• Knowledge of LMBuildings reporting
• Ability to operate with Tableau
• Experience leading matrixed teams consisting of both Customers and Peer groups
• Demonstrate knowledge of secure workspace construction and security requirements
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to interpret customer requirements
• Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with all levels of personnel
• Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of Lockheed Martin Facilities Standards, Industry Standards, policies and procedures.
• Demonstrated experience leading change/process improvement activities and driving employee engagement to deliver results.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
