Lockheed Martin Space HR Talent & Organizational Capability (T&OC) is seeking an experienced project manager to help advance our talent pipeline of the future through upskilling and reskilling programs. Working closely with leaders, training developers, and external vendor partners, the selected candidate will be able to continually advance his/her professional skills while empowering others throughout Space to do the same. The candidate will have a solid project management background with demonstrated success in leading teams in a matrix management structure.

Areas of impact include but are not limited to:
•Lead Critical Skills Training Investments (CSTI), supporting Space Engineering & Technology (E&T)
•Solve problems rapidly with agility and a forward leaning focus
•Manage CSTI course development and delivery to sustain and advance talent pipeline within Space’s Engineering directorates
•Represent T&OC in internal customer and external partnerships
•Actively establish strong partnerships with Digital Transformation, T&OC Learning & Knowledge Continuity, E&T Training Control Account Managers/Training Points of Contact (TCAMs/TPOCs), and other key partners to drive the future of technical training and learning technologies
•Support forecasting, tracking, and management of project budgets against the plan
•Collaborate with fellow HR professionals to advance and expand our project management capabilities
•Evaluate product effectiveness, return on investment (ROI), and opportunities for continual improvement
•Partner across Space and other Lockheed Martin business areas to share training products, knowledge, and other resources
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Management, HR, Organizational Development, Information Systems, Instructional Systems Design, or a related field
•Demonstrated ability to coordinate and lead large teams to successful project completion, on time and on budget
•Experience managing budgets or an ability to quickly learn earned value management (EVM) fundamentals
•Experience providing executive briefings on project status and alignment with organizational objectives
•Strong professional presentation skills and executive presence
•A focus on work quality, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
•Demonstrated exposure to Agile project management
•Ability and willingness to mentor fellow team members
Desired Skills:
The ideal candidate will have strong full spectrum leadership qualities, organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, strong execution skills and especially strong motivation skills. The ability to adapt to often rapidly changing needs and meticulous attention to detail are highly desirable for success in this role.

The candidate will also possess experience in some of the following areas:
•PMP certification or MS degree in Management, HR, Organizational Development, Information Systems, Instructional Systems Design, or a related field
•Demonstrated expertise as a project manager on large and high-visibility initiatives
•Experience with EVM and other control account management (CAM) responsibilities
•Experience with risk and opportunity management
•Experience leading teams of subcontract personnel
•Strong working knowledge of the waterfall model of project management
•Experience with Agile project management processes
•Understanding of adult learning concepts, theories, training development tools, and processes
•Instructional Design or eLearning Development knowledge (e.g. ADDIE, SAM, AGILE)
