Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company is seeking energized individuals who are passionate about building the space technologies of tomorrow. We have an opportunity for a Quality Engineer at our Littleton, CO facility supporting our Metrology Group within Space Operations.

Develops and evaluates calibration systems that measure characteristics of objects, substances, or phenomena, such as length, mass, time, temperature, electric current, and derived units of physical or chemical measure. Identifies magnitude of error sources contributing to uncertainty of results to resolve reliability of measurement process in quantitative terms. Develops calibration methods and techniques based on principles of measurement science, technical analysis of measurement problems and accuracy and precision requirements.

Responsibilities also include:
•Development/revision of calibration procedures (manual and/or automated) to support new and changing requirements.
•Perform statistical analysis of data for primary standards, including control charts.
•Metrology support for Denver Metrology Laboratory – including training calibration personnel.
•Calibration of Primary Level Standards in multiple subject areas to include RF calibration area.

Basic Qualifications:
• Strong experience in a Metrology Laboratory with similar level of capabilities (Diversity of Disciplines and Level of Uncertainties – RF, pressure, electronics, force, dimensional).

• Minimum 2+ years experience within an ISO/IEC 17025 Accredited or ISO/IEC 17025 compliant laboratory.

• Ability to calculate overall measurement uncertainties, including identify to all contributing factors and the magnitude of impact each have on the measurement process.

• Ability to perform statistical analysis of data to determine associated risk and reliability.

• Proficient using computers and major components of MS Office Suite.
Desired Skills:
• Strong experience in a Metrology Laboratory with similar level of capabilities (Diversity of Disciplines and Level of Uncertainties).
• Demonstrated experience in RF principles, methodologies, and calibrations.
• Strong verbal & written communications Skills.
