Lockheed Martin recognizes the tremendous opportunity for significant advancement in the way Classified IT services are delivered to our Business Area partners. These improvements will ultimately enable Lockheed to build better products faster in support US Department of Defense mission. In acknowledgement of this opportunity, the Classified Transformation organization and leadership structure have been put in place, along with significant investment to drive positive changes to both transform and standardize Classified IT delivery.
The selected candidate will be a System Engineer for an enterprise WAN solution: DarkStar! They will be responsible for supporting the Windows environments within DarkStar at one of our node locations and will serve as a primary interface for DarkStar. The selected candidate will closely work with the larger DarkStar system engineering and network teams to maintain, sustain and keep secure all Windows environments throughout the system. The individual must be comfortable working in an environment supporting a large number of different platforms which range from enterprise servers to small and midsize servers. They will be responsible for system installations, upgrades, configurations, software installation, patching and maintenance. Knowledge of various protocols such as DNS, SMTP, NFS, FTP, Telnet, ssh, and etc protocols and system network tuning and configuration will be leveraged on a consistent basis.

Core Responsibilities include:
- Design, implement, and manage Active Directory and Group Policy configurations to ensure secure and efficient operation of our network infrastructure
- Configure and maintain DHCP and DNS services
- Lead and contribute to IT projects, demonstrating a strong ability to manage time and resources effectively to meet deadlines and objectives
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for complex software, and hardware issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations.
- Manage and configure Red Hat Linux and Windows servers environments, applying best practices for system security and performance.
- Implement and administer virtualization technologies, including VMware and Red Hat KVM, to optimize infrastructure flexibility and efficiency.
- Design, deploy, and maintain NAS and SAN storage solutions, ensuring data availability, integrity, and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with IT team members and other departments, fostering a cooperative and productive work environment.
- Design, implement, and manage PowerShell and Ansible scripts

*** This role is onsite, in Littleton, CO, working a "9x80" schedule, with every other Friday off! ***
Basic Qualifications:
• Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, and DNS.
• Knowledge in implementing automation and utilizing PowerShell and Ansible scripts
• Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of leading and delivering IT projects.
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues quickly.
• Extensive experience with Red Hat Linux and Windows environments.
• Proficiency in VMware and Red Hat KVM virtualization technologies.
• Solid understanding of NAS and SAN storage architectures and technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on teamwork.
• Ability to work well with others, including team members from different departments and varying levels of technical expertise.

• Active Secret Security Clearance
• A+, Security+, or MTA Certifications (or similar relevant certifications)
Desired Skills:
• Experience with System Engineering/Architecture/Administration in a large and distributed environment
• Certifications in relevant technologies, such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with cloud technologies and services.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $100,400 - $192,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
