Virtually every Lockheed Martin Space (LMS) mission success starts with a strong foundation of facility infrastructure, which is built and operated risk free in support of business needs, without interruption. As a Facilities Operations Analyst at Space, you’ll have the opportunity to use your facility maintenance/construction experience and education to take on formidable challenges as we maintain current, and build new state of the art engineering facilities. You’ll use innovative approaches to ensure the reliability of mechanical infrastructure that helps manage and maintain operations that enable us to produce cutting edge space systems.

Our facility in Littleton, CO has an immediate opportunity for an early to mid-career level Facility Operations Analyst to join our mission. In this role you will lead diverse disciplines of represented maintenance personnel Friday through Monday (weekend schedule working 4 10-hour work days), which includes responsibility of 24-hour emergency response.

Summary of Key Duties

• Perform technical lead responsibilities for facilities maintenance and operations, to include diagnosing infrastructure systems, component malfunctions, while identifying corrective actions
• Operate as a satellite procurement buyer for facilities materials & services
• Define work priorities and coordinate scheduling major maintenance projects and routine work requests
• Track Work Order Backlog and prioritize to achieve internal operating review metric goals
• Application of LMS Facility Risk Management principles and Risk Plans to all maintenance operations
• Oversee the repair and replacement of facilities infrastructure systems and components
• Provide field planning support and technical lead for all maintenance operations including planned and unplanned utility outages
• Field manage maintenance sub-contractors, monitoring work performed by vendors and/or subcontractors to determine adequacy of work relative to job specifications/scope, and recommends sub-contractor corrective actions as required
• Provide knowledgeable application of the UAW-LMC Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
• Ensure maintenance operations comply with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and LMS ESH Command Media
• Lead and/or support internal, state or federal audits and assessments
• Participate in Facility Infrastructure Condition Assessments and energy reduction events
• Lead and/or participate in hiring employees and working with them to develop personal and departmental development training plans
• Develop and apply industry benchmarking best practices for maintenance operations and provide management with industry lean strategies.
• Develop cost and acquisition information for capital facility equipment purchases.
• Attend and provide usable information for construction project design reviews and scope definition.
• Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards.
• Represent organization on specific projects and teams as a point of contact for other departments.
• Provide contractor oversight for facility projects.
• Develop Scopes of Work for short and long-term projects.

Our employees working in this level of position typically have 6+ years of professional experience.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• At least 6 years of industrial/commercial maintenance experience and knowledge
• Must have 1 year of experience providing leadership and oversight of a diverse workforce (e.g. team lead, foreman, etc)
• Experience in developing labor & material cost estimates for major maintenance projects
• Computing skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) and knowledge and-or prior use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Experience meeting daily dynamic work schedule modifications & making necessary schedule & resource adjustments
• Must be able to support operational requirements for all shifts in support of facility operations
• US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Proven experience in Infrastructure Mechanical/HVAC Diagnostic & Operational Problem Solving
• Experience in development & implementation of risk mitigation plans
• Familiarity & understanding of Facilities Command Media and Facilities operating process and procedures
• Strong administrative skills
• Familiarity with safety inspection documentation
• Experience in contractor oversight, contract management and statement of work generation
• Must be able to work independently
• Decision making skills that allow for arriving at the best solutions and then being able to quickly implement those decisions or solutions
• Teaming skills enabling effective work relationships with a wide variety of employees in multiple disciplines
