Job Responsibilities
Description:This is a critical position supporting the Space Systems Company in Denver, CO working directly with our internal and external customers. Candidate will be the lead responsible for data center operations and the campus wide Protected Distributions Systems (PDS). Candidate will work directly with Lockheed Martin Facilities, Network infrastructure and Physical Security personnel to gather requirements, to engineer changes, and to maintain documentation of the campus PDS. As the Data Center technician you will install, maintain, and monitor servers, network equipment, and other critical systems. Their duties include troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring optimal system performance, and safeguarding data security. After- hours support and non-standard work shifts are periodically required. Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and have active TS/SCI security clearance.
This position is responsible for, but not limited to:
Protected Distribution System Engineer
Support of a campus wide PDS System and its associated Network and Sensing entities.
Servicing multiple government and program users involving design, development installations, maintenance, operations, control, and documentation
Participate in customer reviews in support of new or changing requirements, System outages and Security impacts
Participate in customer system testing and validation
Perform installations and upgrades to Cisco and Juniper operating systems in accordance with established policies, procedures, and agreements.
Data Center Technician.
Setting up and configuring servers, storage devices, and network equipment.
Regularly inspecting, maintaining, and monitoring the data center's physical infrastructure, including servers, computer systems, and network equipment.
Identifying and resolving technical issues with hardware and software.
Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect data from unauthorized access, such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
Ensuring the smooth operation of the data center, including managing server and network activity, monitoring system performance, and responding to alerts and alarms.
Maintaining accurate records of system administration operations, repairs, and work order requests.
Performing backups and upgrades to protect data and ensuring data recovery in case of failures.
Working with other IT professionals, such as network security engineers, to ensure the data center remains functional and data is well-managed.
Ensuring system operations comply with rules and regulations.
Monitoring the inventory of hardware and software components.
Basic Qualifications:
• Active TS/SCI required for this role
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a data center technician
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Involvement/Experience with Engineering and Installation of Protected Distribution Systems
• Strong working knowledge of network engineering disciplines such as:
- General networking principles
- Routers, Switches, Firewalls and routing and switching protocols.
- Performing diagnostics, troubleshoot network issues, determine root cause, and recommend strategies for repair
• Familiarity with Government PDS Instruction CNSSI No. 7003 Sept 13
• Familiarity with Government Red/Black Installation Guidance CNSSAM Tempest_01_13
• Familiarity with installation practices for Red/Black cabling separation for Secure Area
• Knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) like Microsoft SQL.
• Familiarity/Experience with Fiber Optic Intrusion Detection solutions for PDS Systems
Desired Skills:
• CI Poly
• Current Security+ Certificate or better
• Knowledge of patching, Firmware, and IOS upgrades
• Knowledge of SAN environments with multiple OS’s (Linux, Unix, and Windows)
• Knowledge of Network Access Control (NAC) for 802.1X with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
• Knowledge of DNS-DHCP-IPAM (DDI) with Infoblox and Active Directory
• Familiarity with Cisco IOS/IOS-XE/NXOS and JunOS
• Experience with network management platforms like SolarWinds
• CompTIA ServerPlus, CompTIA Network, or CCNP certification

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
