Lockheed Martin is looking for a CONOPS & Mission Systems Engineer Senior Staff to join the team on an exciting program.

In this role, you will:
• Lead the development, refining, administering, and use of automated tools to predict system, segment, and component performance, and develop CONOPS to maximize the architecture's capability
• Lead technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems—analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
• Lead the logical and systematic conversion of customer or mission requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
• Lead the functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
• Support the program Mission Analysis effort to obtain optimal system wide performance
• Develop Technical Performance Measurements (TPMs) to predict future technical parameters
• Identify, allocate, and analyze system and segment level performance budgets
• Provide analytic justification and support trade studies for various architecture & payload concepts
• Use Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and simulation techniques to establish and refine capabilities
• Develop and continually refine methods to collect and extrapolate data, and set constraints to analyze data to optimize spacecraft systems
• Lead working groups and make presentations to the customer and the leadership team on detailed technical aspects of the system

Typically has 14 - 20 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in engineering or closely related discipline
• Experience in developing CONOPS and performing multiple systems engineering functions such as trade studies, modeling, architecture for space-related programs
• Experience using modeling tools in a number of program phases, or on several programs and working with modern tools to integrate them with other Systems Engineering tools
• Demonstrated experience on a space system program supporting design reviews, system integration and/or V&V
• Experience in Systems Engineering, or related engineering discipline with detailed knowledge of Systems Engineering concepts and processes
• Space vehicle experience including RF and/or optical design and/or analysis
• Experience working with multiple engineering disciplines in a team environment
• Active Top Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Systems engineering experience on classified programs
• Customer interface experience
• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
• Significant Systems Architecture CONOPS Modeling experience
• Experience integrating analysis tools
• Space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or disciplines outside of Systems Engineering
• Ability to develop an optimized performance solution utilizing system capabilities in CONOPS, Mission Planning, Guidance and Navigation, Mission Performance, and On-Orbit Demonstration (STK, ODTK, MATLAB)
• Ability to ensure maximum system value is captured in the design and meets the customer and program defined requirements
• Experience developing TPMs and performing trade studies
• Ability to ensure that all Mission Engineering design efforts incorporate the necessary aspects for defining the resources and methodologies necessary to verify and demonstrate these capabilities by supporting the design, development and test of a complex system
• Ability to develop a total system concept to meet the overall system performance and requirements
• Ability to develop viable solutions that meet all commitments including technical performance, schedule, and cost along with ensuring customer satisfaction with the system design
• Orbital mechanics knowledge and experience developing orbits
• Validated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive change
• Ability to build strong relationships with program internal and external customers, lead multi-functional teams and build consensus among peers
• Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering, INCOSE Certification, or relevant Graduate Certificate
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with poly, and additional candidate screening will apply
