Agile Transformation Scrum Master and Coach

The Digital Transformation Program is looking for you. As an accomplished Scrum Master and Agile practitioner, you will be a vital part of this team. You will guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers. You will ensure the successful execution and accurate completion of tasks while supporting the leadership team in shaping and executing strategy.
Utilizing state of the art commercial and affordable methodologies, you will be involved in progressing system capabilities.
Essential Duties:
• Coaching the program scrum masters and agile practitioners via the facilitation of the Digital Transformation Agility Chapter
• Performing scrum master duties for the Agile Transformation Team to include metrics analysis and facilitation of retrospectives, tag-ups, and team reviews
• Supporting the Agile Transformation Team Product Owner, especially on grooming and maintaining the product backlog
• Implementing flow metrics across the value stream teams
• Coaching and partnering with Digital Transformation Program leadership to strategically build and prioritize a program transformation backlog.
• Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
• Facilitate team retrospectives and demos.
• Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving.
• Guiding the team on how to get the most out of self-organization and to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks.
• Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.
• Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example.
Basic Qualifications:
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
• Analytical/systems thinker with experience leading process improvement initiatives, coaching teams, and with organizational design
• Experience in the Scrum Master role for at least one year for diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
• Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
• Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown technologies, various Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.).
Desired Skills:
• Experience in playing the Scrum Master role for at least two years diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
• Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.
• Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
• Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team.
• The experience in applying a wide variety of well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach(example: various Burndown technologies, many Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.).
• Experience with one or more agile project management tools (VersionOne, JIRA, etc)
• Industry Recognized Scrum Master certification
