The Special Programs line of business is looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic leader to lead the Advanced Programs - RF System Architecture & Design group program with management oversight for the APRF contracts and IRAD activities.

This leader executes day to day management, decision making and oversight of the on-going contracts, develops our new business pursuit strategy, sets the business strategy for the future, interfaces with customers to discuss new business opportunities, manages proposals development and manages APRF IRAD planning and execution.

This position is responsible for setting the technical strategy for the APRF organization and for managing a team of operational analysts, mission analysts and system engineers to create discriminating architectures, operations concepts and system designs. This team interfaces with the APRF internal and external customers to develop mission needs and mission requirements, and then performs trade studies and analysis to determine the optimal architectures and designs to meet these requirements. This position has regular engagement with senior government and LM executive level leaders.

Specifically this position is responsible for the following tasks:
- Developing and executing a customer contact plan,
- Collecting & defining mission requirements,
- Developing technical and programmatic strategies,
- Developing IRAD plans to execute program strategies & secure IRAD funding,
- Manage execution of IRAD and ODMA activities.

The candidate should possess relevant mission knowledge and have the ability and willingness to develop new approaches for satisfying the diverse customer requirements that are technically superior and efficient.
Basic Qualifications:
The candidate must have a strong background in the design, development and delivery of space-based ISR systems, demonstrated project management experience, and successful history of new business and advanced development activities.

A Bachelors or Masters degree in a related Engineering, Math or Physics field. The individual must have demonstrated relevant experience in managing technology development and prototype demonstrations. Must possess a flexible, collaborative work philosophy that is committed to achieving results.

TS/SCI Clearance Required.

Expected benchmarks include:
1. Ten years of experience with developing advanced hardware for space-based systems,
2. Five years of experience developing program/project plans, including requirements, budgets and schedules for advanced technology development,
3. Five years experience managing and creating high performance teams,
4. Demonstrated ability to build Customer confidence and intimacy across multiple customers, subcontractors and internal customers
Desired Skills:
- Significant / relevant mission, customer and technology experience.
- Program Management skills and experienced leadership from concept development through technology insertion and experience with flight hardware.
- Experience with customer community and interacting at and with all Customer levels.
- Program management skills including cost and schedule performance management, risk management, supplier subcontract management, and management of hardware development & delivery.
- Experience managing multiple programs for multiple customers.
- Exemplary communication skills to empower the workforce as well as to elevate appropriate issues to senior management.
