Description:Lockheed Martin’s SOF GLSS (Special Operations Force – Global Logistics Support Services) contract provides logistics and sustainment support across multiple platforms to include fixed/rotary wing aircraft and military special operations vehicles.

Currently we are seeking a junior level individual contributor to fill an open role within our Quality arena.
as a Quality Engineer supporting manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities include auditing and monitoring of enterprise processes, participate in the collaboration of engineering and manufacturing functions, ability to lead QA Engineering metrics gathering and compiling for higher level review.

Lexington, is in the heart of the Bluegrass and is the second-largest city in Kentucky, known as the "Horse Capital of the World". The surrounding region is a great place to live and to raise a family with an abundance of government and technology jobs. Where can you get to from Lexington? Louisville is about a 90 minute drive to the east. Cincinnati, Ohio is about 2 hours to the north. Indianapolis, Indiana is about 3 hours to the Northwest. Nashville, TN is about 4 hours Southwest.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.

- Previous experience working in an assembly, integration and test, or manufacturing / test environment in an engineering role.

- Able to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods to turn materials into products.

- Ability to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts that will enable development and review of QE Processes, and related Performance Metrics.

- Available to support odd shifts, weekends and holidays as required.
Desired Skills:
- Technical Engineering Degree in one of the following disciplines preferred: Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.

- Previous experience interfacing with government customers or representatives.

- Knowledge of ISO 9001/ AS9100 requirements with interpretation and application experience.

- Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.

- ASQ CQE and / or CQIA.

- Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision in a fast paced environment.

- GD&T technical experience.
