Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Documentation Engineer to support the Engineering & Technology (E&T) department of the Special Operations Forces Support Activity in Lexington, KY. This program is critical to the success of US service men and women deployed throughout the world. Our mission is to rapidly and properly equip the SOF community and its war fighters with the best possible systems and equipment.

As a Documentation Engineer, you will work as part of an engineering team based in Lexington, KY. The team is focused primarily on modifying existing hardware and integrating components into various platforms based on customer specifications.

Your job will be to leverage tools such as MS Excel, MS Access, Teamcenter, Sharepoint, and others to help optimize the workflow within E&T and also develop visualization tools for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that assist senior leaders with decision making and situational awareness.

This role would directly interface with the IT department and play an instrumental role in the implementation and continued development of Teamcenter (PLM).

Lexington, is in the heart of the Bluegrass and is the second-largest city in Kentucky, known as the "Horse Capital of the World". The surrounding region is a great place to live and to raise a family with an abundance of government and technology jobs. Where can you get to from Lexington? Louisville is about a 90 minute drive to the east. Cincinnati, Ohio is about 2 hours to the north. Indianapolis, Indiana is about 3 hours to the Northwest. Nashville, TN is about 4 hours Southwest.
Basic Qualifications:
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Aided Design & Drafting or related field.
• Experience in programming in Visual Basic & Microsoft SQL.
• Experience with 3D parametric based CAD software, preferably CATIA V5.
• Working knowledge of AMSE Y14.5-2018 drafting standards.
• Strong initiative with minimal supervision needed.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to liaise with other departments.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with Siemens Teamcenter PLM.
• Understanding of KPI development and visualization tools.
• Experience with MS Access and SharePoint.
• Cross-functional team experience.
• Experience working in a product design environment.
