The Work:
Key Responsibilities
System Planning & Integration:
Design, verify, and validate complete MP solutions (servers, workstations, licenses, peripherals) for four CRH sites. Conduct cost, risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses throughout the system lifecycle (concept → disposal). Data & Software Management. Prepare, image, and load SDC images, NGA maps/updates, MPC updates, JMPS patches, and other mission‑critical software to student/aircrew systems. Push NGA, NavDB, and DAT files on a 28‑day cycle to all sites; maintain the geospatial database, file‑share server, and student/instructor accounts (125 + students).
functional & Trade‑Study Analysis. Perform functional, timeline, requirements‑allocation, and interface‑definition studies to convert customer requirements into hardware/software specifications. Coordinate with ACC, HPO, and Contracting Officers Representatives (CORs) for training allocations and resource planning.
User Support & Troubleshooting:
Serve as the primary point of contact for MP and aircrew software issues; resolve problems on‑site or remotely across all four locations. Conduct quarterly log scans, perform network changes, and ensure STIG/ATO compliance. Configuration & Security. Maintain configuration control for DTD, COMSEC, and GDTU untampering processes. Administer all user accounts (creation, unlocking, de‑provisioning after 90 days of inactivity) and enforce security+ certification standards.
Hardware & Infrastructure: Oversee ~30 workstations, peer‑to‑peer/small networks, and hardware requests from 58 OG/CDI. Track and apply all software/flight‑planning updates (every 28 days) and maintain MPC membership for change‑tracking. Collaboration & Coordination. Work with civilians, contractors, Cyber, Intel, CTF, and flight‑line personnel to ensure seamless training operations. Attend MPWG, NSWG, and ICWG annually to align mission‑planning initiatives across the enterprise.
Travel & Availability: Travel to any CRH site on short notice to resolve MP system issues; provide on‑site support as the sole CRH Simulator Mission Planning Engineer.
Program Management:
Manage the CRH Simulator Mission Planning Program, including the transition of custodial duties to a contractor under a CA/CRL account.

Basic Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications: CRH HH‑60W Mission Planning Engineer:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Aerospace Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field. Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain one) and the ability to obtain Security+ certification (or equivalent) within 6 months of date of hire.
Professional Experience: 3–5 years of hands‑on experience with: Mission‑planning software (JMPS, MPC, SDC images, NGA/NavDB/DAT data) and associated update cycles. Windows server/client administration, image creation/deployment, and managing user accounts (AD, GPO).
Network configuration, peer‑to‑peer/small‑network setups, and STIG/ATO compliance. System lifecycle management (concept, design, test, installation, operation, maintenance, disposal) including cost‑risk‑supportability
Desired Skills:
Desired Skills: Prior USAF Aircrew Experience Highly Desirable. • Advanced proficiency with mission‑planning tools (JMPS, MPC, SDC, NGA/NavDB/DAT) and the ability to automate image creation, deployment, and data‑refresh cycles on a 28‑day schedule. • Strong systems‑engineering background, capable of performing end‑to‑end cost, risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses throughout the product lifecycle. • Expertise in Windows Server/Client administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell scripting, and STIG/ATO compliance for secure configuration control. • Hands‑on experience configuring and maintaining peer‑to‑peer and small‑site networks, performing network changes, and conducting quarterly log scans to ensure system integrity. • Proven ability to conduct functional, timeline, requirements‑allocation, and interface‑definition studies, translating customer needs into detailed hardware and software specifications. • Excellent troubleshooting skills, serving as the primary point of contact for aircrew and student software issues, both remotely and on‑site, with a focus on rapid resolution. • Effective collaboration with multi‑disciplinary teams—including civilians, contractors, Cyber, Intel, CTF, and flight‑line personnel—and strong communication skills for presenting at MPWG, NSWG, and ICWG meetings. • Flexibility to travel on short notice to any of the four CRH sites and manage over 30 workstations across the enterprise. • Project‑management capability to oversee the CRH Simulator Mission Planning Program, coordinate hardware/software requests, and support the transition of custodial duties under a CA/CRL account. • Current Security+ certification and an active Secret clearance, with a commitment to continuous education in cyber‑security, Windows, and AF SDC products. • Demonstrated adaptability in fast‑changing environments and a proactive approach to emerging technology trends.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
