As the FBM Reentry Systems Engineering Manager, you will:

• Serve as the Functional Leader for a diverse team of systems engineering providing support throughout the FBM Reentry Portfolio: Reentry Systems Integration for the D5LE2 program, Advanced Reentry, Reentry Digital and Systems Security Engineering, Flight Test Projects Systems Engineering, Development to Deployment, FBM Reentry Interfaces, Deployed Operational Reentry Systems, and Deployed UK & SWOP Reentry Engineering.

• Operate as leader of leaders, supporting the growth and development of sub-tier leaders to ensure all functional and personal responsibilities are met, in support of successfully execution of the Reentry directorate.

• Be responsible for staff planning and tracking activities, to include program need assessment, hiring, and onboarding activities.

• Provide Systems Engineering functional leadership throughout the Reentry directorate, to identify and resolve personnel and technical issues, and execute functional and programmatic initiatives.

• Provide technical technical, functional, and programmatic support in direct collaboration with the FBM Reentry Program Director and Reentry Chief Engineer.

• Partner with teams across LM and externally (DOE, Navy SSP/SPF) to enable successfully systems engineering support across associated programs.

• Cultivate a OneSRP culture embracing Systems Engineering synergies throughout the Strategic Reentry Programs (SRP) Mission Segment.

The position requires full-time onsite support at one of the Lockheed Martin Space facilities located in Valley Forge Pennsylvania, Denver, Colorado or Titusville, Florida. The work schedule for this position is a 9-80 flex schedule.

The Systems Engineering Sr Manager will be required to provide functional leadership and demonstrate LM Full Spectrum Leadership.
Basic Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of Systems Engineering processes and/or Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies throughout the product lifecycle
• Experience with System Engineering related to missile systems, reentry systems, and/or associated avionics
• Familiarity with Control Account Management (CAM) processes and tools
• Working knowledge of cost estimation techniques to support development and evaluation of Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for proposal activities
• Demonstrated project management/leadership (personnel, cost/schedule, subcontracts and/or planning) and mentoring
• Experience as a Functional Manger
• Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret; US Citizenship required
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering sub-disciplines to include Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), requirements development, verification processes, interface management, risk and opportunity management, critical skills assessment, engineering metrics
• Broad experience of Systems Engineering life Cycle process and tools
• Experience with cost estimating to support proposal basis of estimate (BOE) development
• Experience in Strategic Missile or Reentry systems development and sustainment programs
• Demonstrated interpersonal ability to establish close working relationships with key senior leaders and customers
• Experience interfacing and working collaboratively with the US Navy and Department of Energy (DOE)
• Experience as a Systems Engineering functional manager of managers
• Experience working autonomously and efficiently across organizational and product interfaces in a collaborative, multi-task environment
• Ability to operate in a fast paced and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment at component, subsystem, and system levels
• Valley Forge, Pennsylvania work location
• Active Top Secret clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $151,200 - $266,570. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
