As the Systems Engineering Senior Manager you will:
Perform technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and efficiency analyses for total systems—analyses are performed at all levels of total systems product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
Ensure the logical and detailed conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams responsible for advancing the system engineering practices at Space
• Support central and program-led Model-Based Systems Engineering initiatives including representing Space on the Systems Engineering and Architecture (SE&A) Functional Leadership Team (FLT) and on the Integration, Test, and Evaluation (IT&E) FLT
• 1LMx Functional Ownership for Systems Engineering products including but not limited to: communications with programs, LOBs, CEs, Organizational Change Mgmt (OCM), Space 1LMx Product Teams, Space 1LMx CE, and SE leadership
• Oversee advanced engineering development of new processes, tools, and training, including 1LMx integration
• Liaison with LM Corporate and Space 1LMx in an effort to co-develop and mature existing offerings to programs with the goal of reducing program lifecycle to include: 1LMx, Functional Excellence, Functional Leadership Teams (FLTs), Factories, and Staffing
• Work closely with IT to make sure Space SE budget and tools stay on cost while continuing to meet the needs of programs operating at all classification levels
• Perform as E&Ts Chief Data Steward
• Engage with Mission Engineering, Model Based Acquisition and MOSA initiatives in and outside Lockheed Martin to ensure the long-term viability of our product offerings and continued partnership with our customers
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Full development lifecycle experience including delivery of HW and/or SW
• Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining an open, inclusive mindset, and to make decisive, data-driven decisions that keep projects on schedule and aligned with strategic objectives.
• Demonstrated project management/leadership (personnel, cost/schedule, subcontracts and/or planning) and mentoring
• Applying SysML across the Systems Engineering program phases and extending the SysML language with profiles and domain-specific language constructs
• Developing inventive approaches to implementing MBSE on small and large scale programs
• Experience with modern SysML tools to include modifying and developing MBSE tools helpers to improve MBSE application
• Tailoring MBSE approaches to take advantage of various systems model management tools and techniques
• Owning the development of modeling approaches as well as planning and tailoring execution and analysis on large programs
• Experience as a coded leader
• Working knowledge of cost estimation techniques to support development and evaluation of Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for proposal activities
• Candidates must hold an active U.S. Secret security clearance prior to start date.

• Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering sub-disciplines to include requirements development, verification processes, interface management, risk and opportunity management, critical skills assessment, engineering metrics
• Broad experience of Systems Engineering life Cycle process and tools
• Experience with cost estimating to support proposal basis of estimate (BOE) development
• Experience as a Systems Engineering functional manager of managers
• Experience working autonomously and efficiently across organizational and product interfaces in a collaborative, multi-task environment
• Ability to operate in a fast paced and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment at component, subsystem, and system levels
• Knowledge in agile development and experience with agile tools
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience with Cameo/MagicDraw/Rhapsody
• Experience with IBM DOORS, DOORS Next
• Experience with other MBSE TOOLS (E.g., Model Center)
• OCSMP Systems Modeling Certification
• Experience with OOSEM
• Experience with UAF
• Integrating analysis tools via Model Center
• Recognized as an authority in systems thinking techniques with the demonstrated ability to apply them to a wide range of sophisticated problems and train others in their application
• Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering
• Ability to lead multi-functional teams and lead multiple teams to communicate and coordinate work as one team with common goals
• Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering, INCOSE Certification, or relevant Graduate Certificate
• Active or Current Top Secret Security Clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $151,200 - $266,570. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
