If you have the passion to dream big, the technical skills to innovate, and the leadership skills to motivate the next generation of engineers, join us as an Associate Manager on the Stress, Loads and Dynamics team supporting the Strategic Reentry Program (SRP) portfolio across multiple sites (e.g. Denver, CO, Valley Forge, PA, and Sunnyvale, CA) and multiple programs!
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Manage a team of 8-12 mechanical analysts
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and career development opportunities
• Responsible for the team's performance and execution of program milestones and deliverables
• Foster an inclusive and diverse work culture, encouraging open communication and collaboration
• Represent the organization in design reviews and external interactions, practicing Full Spectrum Leadership.
• Oversee cost, schedule, and technical product management for all phases of reentry program life cycle, facilitating strategic initiatives for affordability and efficiency across SRP, which includes Advanced Strategic Programs (ASP) and Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM).
• Support dynamic test definition, requirements, monitoring, data reduction, and analysis incorporating mechanical and system-level parameters.
• Ensuring staffing software (e.g. VEMO) data is accurate for near-term and long-term mechanical analysis support across ASP and FBM
• Provide inputs to and ensure compliance with major program reviews including System Requirements Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, and Mission Success Reviews
• Provide analysis documentation compliant with customer requirements and LM Space best practices and Command Media requirements
• Engage with Program Leads as well as Chief Engineers in planning and implementation of timely releases of engineering products
• Incorporate LM Space E&T strategies for digital transformation into SRP
• Some travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications:
• A bachelor’s or higher degree in mechanical, aerospace program or equivalent from an accredited college/university and/or equivalent education
• Relevant experience in mechanical analysis, including finite element analysis(FEA), computational fluid dynamics(CFD), or classical hand calculations
• Mechanical background to understand fundamentals of statics and dynamics
• Demonstrated leadership experience, such as leading projects, mentoring peers or owning technical deliverables
• Proven ability to plan, propose, coordinate work and personnel across multiple programs and organizational structures
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead, organize, motivate, and mentor a team of engineers
• Excellent collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams, managers, programs, and customers, with the ability to effectively communicate and work together to address complex technical issues
• Ability and desire to assume ownership of tasks and drive to closure quickly and efficiently
• Ability to work in a collaborative and highly integrated team environment
• Must be a US Citizen, and ability to obtain and hold a Top Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
• A Master's degree is strongly preferred for this position
• Experience with analysis tools such as ABAQUS CAE, Siemens Simcenter3D, NASTRAN, ADAMS, LS-DYNA or equivalent
• Experience evaluating designs using rigid body or flexible body analysis methods and tools
• Mechanisms, antenna, electronic component, ground support, hoisting, and test support equipment, and composite materials analysis experience
• Static, vibration, acoustic, modal, shock test experience of aerospace flight hardware
• Experience managing/leading an engineering team
• Experience working on Missile Defense programs
• Active Top Secret Clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
