The Mission Systems Engineering and Integration (MSE&I) program is looking for a Software Engineer to drive software design, development, integration, configuration management, transition planning, acceptance testing and deployment activities for the MSE&I program.
Utilizing state of the art commercial standard methodologies such as DevSecOps (automated testing, continuous integration, automated deployment, etc.), distributed CM, and modern development tools, participate in progressing system capabilities from early design, site acceptance focused on software reuse, COTS/FOSS integrations, and innovative, affordable best practices
MSE&I is a fast-paced IDIQ focused on delivery and integration of new capabilities into the customer's environment. This is the integration element for the Space Development Agency (SDA). The SDA is responsible for defining and monitoring for the Department of Defense the future threat-driven space architecture and accelerating the development and fielding of new military space capabilities vital to ensure technological and military advantage in space for national defense. To achieve this mission, SDA will unify and integrate next-generation space capabilities to deliver the National Defense Space Architecture (NDSA), a resilient military sensing and data transport capability via a proliferated space architecture primarily in Low Earth Orbit (LEO).
Utilizing standard methodologies like Agile, development tools, and automated testing, progressing software products from design through system acceptance with a focus on reuse, integration, and innovative, efficient best practices. Ensure the logical and detailed conversion of specifications into software solutions that address constraints (i.e. technical, schedule, and cost).
This position requires a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Basic Qualifications:
Direct tangible experience and understanding of software engineering efforts using Agile methods, processes and practices. Demonstrated strong background in full lifecycle of Software Engineering
• Relevant SW Systems Development (Java and Linux)
• Relevant experience with Cloud Technologies
• Experience with Agile management practices
• Experience with DevOps Pipeline
• Test, Verification, and Deployment Experience
• Release Management and Configuration Management Experience
• Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
• Experience supporting reviews (ex. peer reviews, code reviews, engineering reviews)
Desired Skills:
Software Architecture development
Software Integration
Automated testing (verification and validation experience)
Experience leading and contributing to software systems using modern practices, tools, technologies and languages (ex. AWS Cloud frameworks)

• Scrum\\\\SAFe\\\\Agile experience
• Agile certifications/experience (e.g. Product Owner, Scrum Master, SAFe, etc.
• AWS certifications/experience
• DevSecOps

• Front End (HTM5 L, JavaScript, Libraries such as jQuery, Angular, React JS, principles of basic prototype design and UI designs.)
